Add another frustrating bug to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's list of known issues. A Redditor named ProP777 recorded a clip showcasing this new bug, which caught them unaware and led to an unfair death. The Modern Warfare clip shows ProP777 standing in a safe position, only to die from an explosion of unclear origin. The deathcam goes on to show that the explosion came from inside a nearby building.

The incident takes place in Modern Warfare's new Shoot House map, which has quickly grown to be incredibly popular. ProP777 is standing in the junkyard section of the map, under the junked helicopter. He's shooting north toward the office area of the map, where someone is firing at him through a window. He ducks behind the wall of tires where he dies from an unseen explosion. The explosion, we learn later, is inside of the office area on the second floor and behind a wall.

From the perspective of the player that kills ProP777, they run into the office without immediate knowledge of their opponents' locations. They aren't the player that was shooting at ProP777 through the office window, either. Nevertheless, they almost immediately turn and fire an RPG through the office's hallway, where it explodes into the wall. The explosion somehow goes through the wall, killing ProP777 instantly.

It's unclear if ProP777's opponent knew the RPG would have this effect, but the player's actions are definitely suspicious, though. They don't see any opponents in the building, so they're either hoping an opponent is somewhere down the hall or already know about the Modern Warfare bug. Given how rare a hallway explosion is to kill someone, them knowing about the bug seems more likely.

Infinity Ward or an Activision representative are usually quick to respond to bugs shared on Reddit. However, in this case, the bug didn't seem to pick up enough attention to draw a response. As such, it's unclear whether this bug is being investigated or will be fixed.

It definitely should, but Infinity Ward can only fix the issues it's aware of. In circumstances like this, that may mean that players exploiting the bug will grow until more players complain about it. For the time being, beware of the second-floor office wall by the tires in the junkyard area of the Shoot House map.

Call of Duty: Modern War is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
