The next season of Call of Duty Mobile content has been revealed, and the developers will take players into the depths of Tokyo. Since the seasonal count reset, the game has evolved with more intense narrative designs and a story that seems to be slowly progressing across the world. The newest teaser video showcases several Tokyo-themed items that will be coming to Call of Duty Mobile soon.
The new Call of Duty Mobile season is set to go live on Friday, April 16. The season has been titled "Tokyo Escape," and it is bringing a new set of operators, blueprints, weapons, and more through another Battle Pass. As with previous seasons, the new update will include maps for players to explore.
In a teaser video shared by Call of Duty Mobile's development team, the new season is explored with a cinematic opening. Two operators are seen fighting with Katanas, which may be featured in the season, and new operator skins are present. One operator is a new character labeled Hiddra - The Boss, and he is seen wielding the new PP19 Bizon with its Yokai skin equipped. Meanwhile, another combatant enters the arena with a Type 25 skin named Oni and the new Sensei Takeo skin. Zero is also seen with an Escape skin, wielding the QXR Scorching Sun blueprint, while Spectre's Ninja skin is highlighted briefly with him wielding the RUS-79U Karuta blueprint. These are only a few of the new items advertised for the upcoming Call of Duty Mobile season.
Two new maps have been revealed, titled Oasis and Coastal. Players may recognize Coastal as it was once part of a map that appeared in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Oasis, however, is a luxury desert hotel that starkly contrasts Coastal's small-town feel.
Call of Duty Mobile is also getting two new game modes, with Swords & Stones being featured in the next update. As a play on the original Sticks & Stones game mode, Swords & Stones will test the player's ability to succeed in melee combat. Alongside this, the new season features a revamped Night Mode on several maps as players must use night-vision goggles and sound to track enemy locations.
A new Spotter class will be available for Call of Duty Mobile's Battle Royale mode, and new seasonal changes are expected. Players will be able to take part for free, but the Battle Pass does require a payment before gaining full access.
