Season 13 of Call of Duty Mobile is expected to start very soon and players already know about some of the big, new additions coming to the game, such as a new snowy area of the main battle-royale map and a 10v10 mode for the Hackney Yard map.

Now it has been confirmed that the iconic Nuketown map from the Call of Duty: Black Ops series is coming to Call of Duty: Mobile, though not in the way some players might expect. Rather than simply copy and paste the original map or its revised version seen in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, the mobile game will instead get its own variant that has a Russian aesthetic.

Named Nuketown Russia, the overall layout of the map remains the same (so long-time fans experienced with Nuketown will have an advantage), but the houses sport decals and props from the Soviet Union and, while the layout of the interiors are also unchanged, the rooms now contain labs, classrooms, and intel offices. The bus and truck situated in the middle of the map, however, have been completely replaced with two train carts.

This change has possibly been done to match the winter season, much like the aforementioned new area for the game's battle-royale map and Cold War's new Christmas-themed Nuketown map included as part of Season 1.

Speaking of Cold War, the game continues to be divisive. Though it received generally favorable reviews from critics, fans have been far less kind, criticizing it for having too many bugs, a boring campaign mode, and badly designed multiplayer maps, among other things.

Call of Duty Mobile is available on Android and iOS devices.
