Call of Duty Mobile has started its anniversary season with tons of new content coming to the game. Among the incoming content is a brand new sniper rifle appearing as a mid-season update. Call of Duty Mobile fans now has access to the NA-45 sniper rifle.

This weapon immediately broke new ground upon entering the shooter experience. Fans quickly discovered that with the proper attachments, this new Call of Duty Mobile sniper can become a game-breaking gun. In fact, the weapon has become so strong that it was almost immediately banned in Championship games.

There are currently two variants of the NA-45 rifle. While they are dramatically different in terms of cosmetics, they operate largely the same with both NA-45 rifles having a unique twist on how they handles ammunition. The NA-45 only holds two bullets, and thus will force players to reload after every two shots.

The majority of the Call of Duty Mobile community has compensated for this by using the Sleight of Hand perk, but this is not what makes the gun overpowered. The weapon drops a charge in the first shot that will detonate with the second shot. Thus, players can shoot the floor, wait for someone to walk by, and then blow up the unsuspecting target. The quicker a player can learn how to spam the limited ammo in this gun, the more it becomes apparent why it has been banned from competitive game modes.

The main problem is that players are struggling to adapt or counter this new style of weapon. Players in the Call of Duty Mobile community are already breaking records with the weapon, proving that it is unbalanced in even a casual setting.

Players with this rifle prioritize reload speeds and mobility. While this gun should operate as a sniper, many players have taken a quick-scope perspective by rushing forward and spamming the two explosives onto the ground. This negates the need for accuracy, and instead presents a unique tactical challenge to overcome.

For many, the strategy players are employing is similar to traditional "noob tubing," where a player would run close to an enemy and fire an RPG at the ground. Instead of a rocket launcher, now players are performing the same strategy using a sniper rifle in the popular shooter Call of Duty Mobile. Although effective, a balance patch is no doubt necessary to help regulate the use of this new weapon.

Call of Duty Mobile is available on iOS and Android devices.
