Last Call on Infinite Warfare Pre-Order Deals for Steam & Console

Last call on deals for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare on the PC and console, as the latest shooter goes live in less than twelve hours on its Friday release date.

We're just hours away from the release of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and if you've been on the fence about pre-ordering for Day 1 action, the question to ask is this: would a discount or gift card push you over the edge? That's what's happening at a few retailers, with PC gamers getting up to 20% off and console gamers reaping gift card incentives. The deals are valid on all editions of the game, too, including the Legacy Edition which contains the sough-after Modern Warfare Remastered.

Legacy Edition Deals

The discounts on PC make the Legacy and Deluxe Editions much more tempting prospects. First off, those are the only way to get a copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, and Deluxe gets you a big up-front discount on the Season Pass - a $50 purchase if you buy separately. Now with the discount to $79.89 for the Deluxe, you're paying the same as the Legacy Edition at full price. In the case of the Legacy Edition, you're paying $63.91 after discount, which is only $4 more than the Standard Edition, making one feel like you're only paying $3.91 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. GMG is confirmed to be sending out Steam keys instantly after purchase.

Size Difference Between Platforms

Be warned: there is kind of a size disparity between the different platforms for Infinite Warfare. PC is by far the largest, with Steam saying you'll need at least 70GB of free space. Now if you add in Modern Warfare Remastered, you'll need an additional 20GB for the campaign plus 25GB for multiplayer (45GB total). If you get either the Legacy or Deluxe Edition, you could take up as much as 115GB.

Contrast that with the smaller file size for the consoles. The Xbox One size is said to be 51.2GB, while Modern Warfare Remastered is 45.9GB. The PlayStation sizes are a bit smaller, only requiring 44.6GB for Infinite Warfare and 37.2GB for Modern Warfare Remastered.

If you pick up the PC deal from GMG on either the Legacy, Deluxe, or Standard Edition of Call of Duty Infinite Warfare - the Steam keys are being sent immediately so you can star up the giant pre-load process. Which ever platform or deal you end up going with, you can be sure space will be a premium so take this into account as the game goes live in less than a day.
