When one thinks of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, it's almost impossible not to think of the dramatic and heartbreaking scene when General Shepherd betrayed Roach and Ghost. This infamous scene is often referenced and parodied due the impact it had on the fanbase, but one group of fans took things to the next level. In a hilarious video, these fans recreated the scene almost beat for beat, but they did so in real life at a swimming pool. What results is a funny yet somehow still emotional rendition of the unforgettable moment in gaming history.

The masterpiece comes from TikToker Preston The Operator, who clearly must be a big fan of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. He wasn't the only one involved in the recreation, however, as it seems that many of his friends also helped. Since the video was posted on TikTok, it has been shared to numerous platforms and spread around. It is now the highest viewed video on the channel, with a stunning 2.6 million views at the time of writing.

The video is an exact recreation of the scene from the game, with viewers watching from Roach's perspective. Ghost carries a wounded Roach up to Shepherd, but after informing the general that he has the DSM, he is shot in the chest at point blank range. Instead of it being Shepherd's signature .44 Magnum, this time it's actually a water gun. There are plenty of hilarious changes such as this throughout the video. One fan pointed out the friend in the background spinning a pool noodle to replicate the helicopter.

After the gruesome deed is done, the two friends portraying Ghost and Roach are unceremoniously thrown into the pool. Rather than gasoline, water is poured onto the two before a wonderful video effect shows them going up in flames. The original audio from the game is used, though, so many still said it got an emotional reaction from them. That's a testament to how powerful this scene is, but also to Preston The Operator's ability to recreate it. The silly video is frequently reposted in Call of Duty subreddits as well as on related platforms.

Preston The Operator also has several other military and Call of Duty themed TikToks on their channel, so players that are interested in that should definitely check him out. The scene itself may bring back bad memories for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 fans, but Preston The Operator's video is sure to make a few laughs.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
