Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War takes the long-running series back to the titular East vs. West conflict. Cold War's campaign will span decades of the war, and the multiplayer matches are similarly diverse.

Another returning feature that has been absent for the past few CoD titles is drive-ble vehicles in multiplayer matches. It has been confirmed in the recent Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer Trailer that several of the title's online game-modes will feature vehicles. In fact, it seems like there'll be quite a selection, ranging from dune buggies to battle tanks. Here's all the ones shown off in the trailer.

Bikes, Buggies, and Snowmobiles

There were five multiplayer map locations revealed in the recent trailer, spanning the entire globe. Three of these, Angola, Uzbekistan, and the Ural Mountains, each showed off a different fast ground vehicle, all of which were well-suited to their environment.

The rocky deserts of Angola showed off a kind of Dune Buggy/FAV for ferrying players across the open sands. From the trailer, it seemed to be able to seat two at time, one of which could fire from a standing position. For the freezing mountains of Uzbekistan, the fast vehicle on offer is a two-man snowmobile. The trailer showed players on the rear seat being able to fire while the driving player controlled the vehicle. Finally, the temperate Ural Mountains location heavily features dirt-bikes, which again seem to seat two players at a time.

RIBs, Jetskis, and Patrol Boats

A couple of the five revealed locations featured some kind of aquatic combat among the rough seas of the North Atlantic. The only mobile vehicles on display in the Miami area, for both land and sea, were boats. The first was a civilian speed-boat, which may or may not be available to players, and the second was RIB. This stands for Rigid-Inflatable Boat, and is a lightweight, outboard-powered vessel popular for fast infiltration.

The second location, the North Atlantic, featured much more in the way of water-based combat. While the large warships that make up the map itself are definitely not mobile, plenty of smaller vessels are. The smallest of these is some kind of military Jetski, built for two players, which comes in both Russian and US flavors. In the trailer these can be seen pursuing a much larger patrol boat, with three players onboard. The patrol boat has player-controlled guns at the bow and stern, and a remote-controlled gun on top of the cabin.

UH-1 Huey and Mi24 Hind

Several of the different locations also feature helicopters, which take on a variety of roles. In the North Atlantic and Angola locations American UH-1s, iconic Cold/Vietnam war helicopters, can be seen transporting troops. They also provide covering fire in a couple of scenes, using either their passengers firing from the door, rocket pods, or a mounted minigun.

A much more potent piece of equipment can be seen in the Ural Mountains location. A Russian attack helicopter, the Mi-24 Hind, carries a hefty payload of explosive rounds and rockets. This will make it quite the formidable force and could be the strongest air vehicle in multiplayer. While jets can also be seen in the trailer, they're more likely there as background action and a source for Scorestreaks, rather than flyable.

The Heavy Stuff

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Tank

The final two locations in the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War trailer showed off some serious armored firepower. Appearing only in Uzbekistan and the Ural Mountains is what appears to be a Russian T54/T-55.

This 1949 Main Battle Tank was a staple of Cold War conflict, and remains the most widely used tank in the world to this day. The real-life T-55 has seen service with over 50 countries, and has a reputation for being both tough and reliable. After all,  it's no small accolade to have earned the title "The AK-47 of tanks." While there's not much action from it in the trailer, it will probably have a two-player crew. This means one player will control the driving and main turret, while another takes command of the turret-mounted machine-gun.

Treyarch has yet to confirm what other vehicles, if any, players will be able to control in multiplayer. However, it's safe to assume that for symmetrical game-modes, there'll also be an American tank, as well as some kind of Russian light-attack vehicle. That said, even with the larger scale of some of the locations shown in the trailers, it seems unlikely to see any kind of fixed-wing aircraft.

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War will be available November 13th on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions are also planned.
