After launching earlier this year, Call of Duty: Warzone has gone on to become a smashing success for Activision. The free to play battle royale mode has quickly become a fan favorite mode as it has evolved with new story elements with each new season. While fans have seen new events like Woods offering a quest ultimately teasing the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War game reveal and many other map changes, many continue to wonder if anything else is planned for the mode. Thanks to a new leak, it appears that big things may be on the way.

The latest Call of Duty: Warzone leak comes from Adi Source from the BlackOpsLeaks Twitter account. A new image shows the familiar Call of Duty: Warzone logo followed by the words Rebirth Island in large letters under it. Behind the text is Alcatraz Island itself, which longtime fans may remember as Rebirth Island from the original Black Ops. With it's own dedicated promotional image, it appears likely that Rebirth Island will be its own map away from Verdansk.

News of Rebirth Island shouldn't be too surprising as the addition was confirmed almost a month ago inside of the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War roadmap. However, the image used in the promotional material referred to it as a classified Warzone experience, with fans filling in the rest of the pieces by translating the Russian text referencing Rebirth Island. From there, fans made the connection to Alcatraz which has not only been featured in past games, but also had a dedicated section of the original Blackout battle royale mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

The leaks didn't stop there as Adi Source then went on to post details about a new multiplayer map set at a mall and a raid remake. The posts clearly caught the attention of Activision forcing creators to delete leaked information or receive DMCA takedown notices on YouTube and other social media channels. At this time, it's unknown when Activision will properly reveal new details on this upcoming content so fans should take the news with a grain of salt for now.

The news should please fans who have started to become a bit vocal about the lack of maps currently in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. One of the biggest influencers for Call of Duty is Dr. Disrespect, who has just recently started to criticize Black Ops Cold War for its map issues and the fact that there are only eight in total, six of which were in the beta. With Warzone soon to be integrated into Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War on December 10, it's possible Activision and Treyarch have more planned on that date.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
