In the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War competitive scene many professional players agree to a set of rules. These rules are commonly referred to as Gentlemen's Agreements or GAs, and they are used to help balance the game outside of developer involvement. Recently one of the pro players in the competitive scene leaked the new set of GAs for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

Generally, GAs are a set of rules eliminating Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War weapons or equipment for pro matches. Players can find anything from attachments to grenades on the list, and they agree to follow the GA when playing in a tournament setting.

The list of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War professional GAs was leaked by streamer and pro player Clayster as he was flicking through tabs on his computer. He was waiting for a map to start when he accidentally clicked the list of GAs giving the viewers a full second's worth of screen time. As per usual, this is all the fans needed to copy down the list and spread it across the entire web announcing the current GA for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War multiplayer competitive games.

Current List of GAs For Cold War

  • No Gearhead
  • Lawbreaker (no overkill)
  • 2 Trophy Systems
  • 2 Assault Packs (but can't use them)
  • 1 smoke grenade in respawn modes, 2 in Search and Destroy
  • No tactical rifles
  • No Thermal optics
  • No scorestreaks

Many Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War fans expected Tactical Rifles to fall into the GA list. Previous lists have banned marksman rifles and there seems to always be limitations among smoke grenades and various equipment usage. Both Gearhead and Law Breaker can become dangerous in a competitive environment and were also expected on this list.

It is interesting that the Call of Duty League does not actually enforce any of the GA rules. Rather, the game's community of pro players seems to self-enforce the list. Most of the list is created after the initial competitive matches, as the pros slowly learn what equipment and weapons might be deemed overpowered or unbalanced.

Still, this list could change over time. As official Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War matches start rotating through the pro players will no doubt adjust it as needed to make competitive play a more balanced gameplay experience.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available on PC, PS4, Ps5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
