Call of Duty 2020 has broken a decade-long tradition by not being revealed before the end of May, and this could be for any number of reasons. The most likely explanation is COVID-19, but regardless, many are expecting an official reveal soon. There's a good chance that it'll happen at the upcoming PS5 event, and this latest leak may even support that.

Rumors have indicated that Call of Duty 2020 would be related to the Black Ops sub-franchise, involve the Cold War, possibly have the title Black Ops Cold War, and far more. The latest leak holds more water and clarifies some of this information, with one data miner finding files on PSN. These files contained the logo for the game, and considering where it's from, seems like a legitimate possibility.

The image simple states, "Call of Duty: Black Ops," set to a backdrop of black and white CIA images. There's a map, a mushroom cloud, an official document, and a layout of a launch site making up the background, but this doesn't obviously confirm if this is a remake of Black Ops, a soft-reboot like Modern Warfare, or a brand new title. Close inspection gives the game a time period.

On the aforementioned document, fans have noticed the date of "1976." This would seemingly suggest it's more of a soft reboot or new title in the sub-franchise, as the original game takes place between 1961 and 1968. Others have pointed out that a reliable Call of Duty leaker has suggested that the game would replay a mission from Treyarch's original Black Ops but have an entirely different ending, diverting from there. This would make sense, although depending on which mission is replayed, that's a bit of a leap in time. Those interested in the image can check it out here.

Because of the nature of the leak (originating from PSN), it is more believable than some of the Call of Duty 2020 rumors out there. It must be said, though, that it should be taken with a grain of salt, as all rumors do, but fans can expect a proper reveal sooner rather than later.
