The Nintendo Switch has become the platform of choice for classic video game players. With a growing roster of NES and SNES games included as part of the Nintendo Online Service, players have been able to indulge their nostalgia for the old days of gaming. Now the classic arcade game, Burger Time, has made its way to the Nintendo eShop for players to purchase.

This re-release for Burger Time comes on the heels of last year's BurgerTime Party, a game that attempted to recapture the magic of the original. Reviews of BurgerTime Party were middling at best, with some saying the game was attempting to add too much to a fairly simple game.

The classic version of Burger Time comes thanks to Arcade Archives. Arcade Archives has done a multitude of ports of classic video games for players to enjoy on modern platforms such as Tecmo Bowl, Karate Champ, and Ninja Gaiden.

While fans of the adventures of Peter Pepper will be excited to have a new way to experience the arcade game, it is worth noting that the game is $7.99 on the Nintendo eShop. This may seem like a lot for an older game, but when compared to the $19.99 price tag for BurgerTime Party and the steep $399 players could pay for the Burger Time Arcade1Up Cabinet, $7.99 is a great deal.

Hopefully, if this release of Burger Time is successful on Switch, Arcade Archives will consider bringing Super Burger Time to the platform as well, allowing players to have a complete and delicious experience.

Burger Time is available now on Switch.
