Destiny 2: The Witch Queen comes out later this month, and developer Bungie has been releasing a lot of information in the lead-up to its launch. The Witch Queen will come with a bunch of new features, including the ability to craft weapons. Bungie had recently detailed how weapon crafting works in Destiny 2, and it seems like players will be able to fully customize their build.

Destiny 2 features a lot of different game modes, with Gambit possibly being the most unique of them all. Introduced in the Forsaken expansion, Gambit pits 2 teams of 4 against one another as well as the AI. Players are required to collect motes and deposit them, before facing a boss at the end while also periodically getting opportunities to invade the other team’s game and disrupt their progress. Some fans have been asking for changes to Gambit for a while now, and it looks like Bungie will make a new announcement relatively soon.

This information comes from the Twitter account of the Senior Community Manager for Destiny 2 at Bungie. He confirms that Bungie will share new details regarding Gambit next week, however, he goes on to mention that Bungie hasn't started from the ground up with these reworks, they'll likely be smaller tweaks for now. Still, Bungie will highlight the changes that will hopefully improve Gambit and address the concerns of the player base.

Destiny 2 players have responded to this Tweet with their own suggestions, with many wanting Bungie to remove or at least limit invasions in Gambit. The invading player spawns with an overshield, and users are seemingly tired of constantly being wary of other players. One user also wants Bungie to reduce the damage output of the enemies. For many, these demands don’t seem unreasonable, and fans will have to wait for next week to see how Bungie tackles the issue.

The Witch Queen is shaping up to be Destiny 2’s most successful expansion, and Bungie had earlier confirmed that it had crossed 1 million pre-orders. Destiny 2’s success is probably the biggest reason Sony decided to acquire Bungie, and the developer’s experience with live-service games will prove invaluable as PlayStation starts developing more games that follow a similar model of content delivery.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
