While it's safe to say that most Rockstar Games fans are ready for the company to finally announce Grand Theft Auto 6, others wouldn't mind seeing another one of its franchises get a sequel first. GTA fans have been waiting nearly 10 years for a Grand Theft Auto 6 announcement, while those who want to see Bully 2 have been waiting a whopping 16 years and counting. However, it seems there's a chance that an announcement may finally be happening in the near future.

Reputable leaker Tom Henderson, who is mostly known for leaking Battlefield and Call of Duty news, has claimed that Bully 2 was "expected" as a surprise announcement for The Game Awards 2021. Henderson said that "some people" have been shown Bully 2 material and that this suggests a reveal for the game could be coming soon. In a follow-up tweet, Henderson went on to say that there are some individuals that have even seen a playable version of the game.

There's been no sign of Bully 2 in the years since the original game's release, with the most recent reports saying that Bully 2 had actually been canceled by Rockstar Games years ago. And with Rockstar presumably busy with Grand Theft Auto 6, not to mention ongoing support for games like Grand Theft Auto Online and Red Dead Online, some may find it hard to believe that a Bully 2 announcement is waiting in the wings.

It should be stressed that Henderson did not provide any concrete evidence to back up these claims, and so like with any other rumor, fans should take this information with a massive grain of salt. That being said, Henderson is not the only industry insider bringing up Bully 2, and so it's possible that there is genuinely something to this. Regardless, fans should keep their expectations in check and avoid getting their hopes up until they see a proper Bully 2 announcement for themselves.

This isn't the first time Henderson has claimed to leak information about upcoming Rockstar Games titles. Previously, Henderson leaked Grand Theft Auto 6 details, claiming that the game would feature two protagonists (one male, one female), jetpacks, and be set in Vice City with an evolving map not unlike popular live service games like Fortnite. Henderson didn't provide evidence for those claims either, but what he said was corroborated by other insiders and top journalists, lending them a lot more credibility.

Something else that lends Henderson's leaks credibility is the fact that many of them turn out to be true. Henderson was right on the money with many of his Call of Duty: Vanguard leaks, as well as his Battlefield 2042 leaks. Henderson has a proven track record when it comes to leaks, so it will definitely be interesting to see if anything comes out of these Bully 2 rumors.

Bully 2 is rumored to be in development.
