With the release of Brink just a week and a half away, we've already had a good look at the different classes that will be available and the ample amount of customization and freedom players will have in the parkour-style shooter. While that’s all informative and educational, Bethesda and Splash Damage understands what gamers crave: game content.

Taking a peek at the latest Brink gameplay trailer gives you a chance to see how all the footage in past trailers will come together in chaotic harmony. Breaking down the video into four sections — movement, health, combat, and deployables — it’s a crash course in how everything will come together seamlessly once gameplay gets hot and heavy.

The Brink trailer also presents several different locations in which players will be able to use their free-running styles of combat (courtesy of the SMART system, which allows players to flow seamlessly from one platform to the next), ranging from the decrepit bowels of The Ark, to a high-rise bar and lounge.

Take a look at the video and see what you think.

The emphasis of the video — which has been a large focal point for the folks at Bethesda — is that choosing the appropriate loadout and character is going to be key if you want to make it far. You may want to play as the heavy gunner, but if you can’t vault over the wall in front of you, you may be at a disadvantage when the enemy comes running.

The same can be said for Brink’s inventive and interesting use of sliding into your enemy a la Bulletstorm to get a quick knockdown, and follow it up with a few good shots of your own. It will be very interesting to see how players create and adapt their play styles as the game progresses,

Though given the amount that has been put into the game, what are the feelings behind Brink? Is it rather a new and inventive way to look at FPS? You’ll have your chance to try firsthand May 10th, when Brink is released for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
