Brie Larson is one of Hollywood's most celebrated and active gamers, with a long history with games like Zelda dating back to the actor's childhood. From the plethora of interviews the Captain Marvel star has given in which she discusses Fortnite and Animal Crossing, to the time she bested Jimmy Fallon at Beat Saber on a Tonight Show segment, the star is actively involved in the gaming world and is now using her voice and status to show support for the AbleGamers charity.

AbleGamers is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving accessibility, enabling more people with disabilities to be able to play video games. It accomplishes this work by partnering with developers and pushing for features like unrestricted keybinding and alternate color schemes. Celebrities like Ryan Reynolds have supported AbleGamers in the past by appearing in ads for the charity, but Larson is showing her support via a video posted to her Twitter feed.

In the video, the Marvel star thanks game developer Alanah Pearce for bringing AbleGamers to her attention. Larson then goes on to explain what she likes about the charity, stating, "Using the power of video games to bring people together and provide people with disabilities custom gaming set ups so that they can enjoy video games too is just absolutely incredible." The star goes on to thank the charity for its work and urges her followers to look into AbleGamers for themselves. Pearce, who does charity game streams in addition to her work in the industry, thanked Larson in the replies and let the Oscar winner's followers know that she's currently on a mission to raise money for the AbleGamers charity.

Pearce will continue to host charity streams until her target is met and states that she's so far raised $13,500 of her goal of $50,000. As for Larson, the actor has had a pretty video game-filled month. On April 15, Larsen and Tessa Thompson appeared in a Fortnite YouTube video in which the duo compete in several online matches, but Larson is currently receiving praise on Twitter for spreading the word about AbleGamers and Pearce's push to raise money for the charity.
