In Breathedge, even tasks that seem like they should be simple can provide a huge challenge. This is the case when trying to get glass, a crafting material used in many different recipes, including the very useful helmet item. In order to successfully get some glass, players are going to want to make some preparations before they venture out into the harsh and unforgiving space. This includes packing some extra oxygen, some alcohol for warming up, and most importantly a grabber to pick up the glass with. Without all three of these things, this seemingly mundane mission is doomed to end in tragedy.

Like other survival games on PC or console, Breathedge places a huge emphasis on gathering resources and using them to craft new items. The difference comes in when looking at location. In other games, it might be easy to collect some sand and heat it up until it turns into glass, but in Breathedge players will need to find glass floating around the vacuum of space.

To start off, be sure to grab all of the aforementioned things. To be safe, it helps to carry four oxygen candles, at least one alcohol, and at least one grabber. Head out of the spaceship and head towards the nearby coolant stream. Players that plan on flying through the coolant stream can do so if they use the alcohol or the periodic heaters found within the stream, but this will take more resources. It's better to simply follow the coolant stream and then change course when near the glass.

At some point, players will hear a voice line about a cemetery of rescue shuttles. Inside these destroyed shuttles are small, floating balls. They look very similar to ice, but they are slightly smaller, look more blue in color, and are a little lighter. From here, it is important to pick up the glass with a grabber or some other tool, as just using hands will result in the player taking damage. After collecting enough glass, head back the same way, avoiding the coolant stream if possible, and return to the ship.

As previously mentioned, glass is used in a lot of recipes, and crafting is important in Breathedge, so players may find themselves making this trip often. In order to cut down on the amount of oxygen candles and alcohol being used, it will help to oxygen stations along the route. These will ensure that players aren't using their valuable oxygen candles and make the trip just a little easier.
