The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild reinvented the traditional Zelda experience for fans of the series. By introducing an expansive open world unlike any other seen in the series, players had no shortage of creatures to discover and breathtaking locations to explore in Hyrule. Due to its non-linear gameplay and exploration, fans have found numerous memorable characters and creatures to recreate through fan art. Recently, one player constructed a model of the Divine Beast Vah Ruta.

Shaped in the form of a giant elephant, the Divine Beast Vah Ruta is a machine. Using a 3D printer, a user on Reddit known as HeroOfTime4209 showed off images of their recreation of the humongous mechanical construct. With a striking amount of detail, the artist portrayed the parts of the Divine Beast including a long curved trunk. While the creator didn't comment on what type of 3D printer they used for the model, though fans in the comments seem to think it was a resin printer.

Vah Ruta is one of 4 Divine Beasts found throughout the game. Originally constructed by the Sheikah to protect the Kingdom of Hyrule, these mechanical behemoths eventually became corrupted by Calamity Ganon during the Great Calamity. In the game, one of Link's primary objectives is to confront each of these machines and bring them back to their owners known as the 4 Champions. By doing this, Link manages to enlist the help of the Divine Beasts including Van Ruta in his fight to destroy Calamity Ganon.

Many Reddit users commented that they hope HeroOfTime4209 continues the theme of 3D printing the Divine Beasts and completes models of the other 3 as well.

As fans prepare for the sequel to Breath of the Wild to release sometime next year, it's exciting to see the amount of creativity on display from members of the The Legend of Zelda community. From cosplays of iconic characters to 3D prints of creatures and machines such as HeroOf Time4209's Divine Beast Vah Ruta, it will be interesting to see what fans decide to recreate next from the game.
