There are several armor sets in Breath of the Wild that can be obtained twice. One of these sets is the Gerudo Set. It's generally not recommended to buy extra armor thanks to the scarcity of rupees, but the Gerudo armor is much cheaper than other sets.

Players will receive the Gerudo Set in Breath of the Wild from an NPC at the Kara Kara Bazaar. In fact, this version is necessary to unlock the Vah Naboris' main quest. The second set is nice to have in case a part of the first one is accidentally sold.

Where to Buy the Gerudo Set

The first Gerudo Set can be bought for 600 rupees at Kara Kara Bazaar. The second one is on sale at Gerudo Town's armor shop. Look to the left upon entering from the front gate. Each piece of the Gerudo Set is 180 rupees, which adds up to 540 rupees. It's 60 rupees cheaper than the Kara Kara Bazaar version.

Once players have the Gerudo Set from Gerudo Town, they can sell the other one for rupees, or take them to the dye shop in Hateno to mix and match colors. Each part of the set sells for 45 rupees, which is far lower than the original cost. However, if players need 135 rupees for arrows or ingredients, then this is a surefire way to get the money.

At least one of the Gerudo Sets is needed to enter Gerudo Town even after Vah Naboris. Once the Vah Naboris main quest is completed, players can accept the sidequest from Riju to get the Thunder Helm. However, if players are missing a piece to create a Set, they won't be able to get back into Gerudo Town.

If players "lock" themselves out of Gerudo Town by selling the Gerudo armor, they can buy another set from Kara Kara Bazaar.

Can You Upgrade the Gerudo Set?

Unlike the Desert Voe Set, the Gerudo Set can't be upgraded. Each piece has a base defense of 1, making it poor for combat. It will provide Link with heat resistance for a Set Bonus. However, sometimes the Gerudo Wasteland can be too hot in specific parts of the desert. To prevent Link from losing HP while wearing the set, equip him with ice weapons such as the Blizzard Rod or Frostblade.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is available now on Nintendo Switch.
