The Legend of Zelda's most recent landmark title, Breath of the Wild, turned four-years-old this month (March, 2021). With almost two years since Nintendo revealed a teaser for a Breath of the Wild sequel, fans have been starving for as much information on the upcoming title as possible. One way for fans to make the wait for Breath of the Wild's sequel less painful is to replay the hit Switch game that so many fell in love with.
The phenomenal entry in The Legend of Zelda has fans expecting a high-quality sequel with just as many gorgeous locations to explore. Players have plenty of iconic landmarks to revisit while waiting for new content from Nintendo. From the fields of Hyrule to the fiery cliffs of Goron Mountain, Link is no stranger to a beautiful view.
10 Outside The Shrine Of Resurrection
A players' first glimpse of Hyrule when playing Breath of the Wild is when they emerge from the shrine of resurrection. Players are immediately presented with a beautiful cliffside glance of the overworld, being able to see all the lands they have yet to explore. It's the first location players get to explore in Breath of the Wild and one of the sights they'll remember the most.
9 The Temple Of Time
Immediately after leaving the shrine of resurrection, most players are compelled to visit the closest landmark: the Temple of Time. The temple is a familiar sight to long-time Legend of Zelda fans and serves as a first step into the world of Hyrule for newcomers.
Standing tall with intricate details in its architecture, the temple of time is a picture-perfect location that feels like home to Legend of Zelda fans.
8 The Beaches Of Necluda Sea
On the shores of the Necluda Sea just outside of Lurelin village lies a picturesque beach for Link to explore. The water is blue and the sky is wide and beautiful. Sunsets on this beach are sure to take a player's breath away. The dangerous Eventide Island sits on the horizon and guardians roam the shore, so players have to be careful when taking in the scenery of this gorgeous beach.
7 Atop Mount Lanayru
Atop the frozen Mount Lanayru is the Spring of Wisdom. Guarding it is the ancient dragon Naydra, corrupted by Ganon. This fight to save Naydra from corruption is a sight in itself and made even more visually stunning by the icy backdrop it takes place in. After Link saves Naydra, Mount Lanayru has a quiet and peaceful energy, making the mountaintop a perfect place to reflect while taking in the sights around.
6 The Forgotten Temple
Beneath the Tabantha Tundra and west of the Korok Forest lies what seems to be a canyon. Upon closer inspection, Link discovers it's a temple carved into the landscape. Long abandoned and in disrepair, the forgotten temple is infested with guardians.
The ruins of the temple are gigantic and a sight to behold, making Link look minuscule in comparison to its gigantic columns. Climbing will be necessary to venture in and out of this long-lost temple, but the journey is worth it for those curious enough.
5 The Spring Of Power
The Spring of Power is featured in one of the many memories players can find scattered throughout Hyrule. The scene features Link watching as Zelda attempts to wake the powers within her in order to stop calamity Ganon. The spring is surrounded by waterfalls and features a giant statue of Hylia players can speak with to upgrade Link's health and stamina. It's a beautiful location both for its design and importance to the story.
4 The Seven Heroine Statues
Deep within the Gerudo desert players can stumble upon the seven heroine statues. They're tall, gallant warriors boasting gigantic swords. The statues themselves are taller than the cliffs surrounding them, representing the power these warriors must have had. Upon completing the puzzle involved with these statues, a shrine will appear in the middle of them. This location is the most beautiful at sunset, but the statues are a sight to see at any time of day.
3 The Vast Korok Forest
After braving the trials of the lost woods, players familiar with Legend of Zelda are met with a familiar sight inside the Korok Forest: the master sword. Holy beams peek through the dense trees of the forest to highlight the legendary weapon.
The player will get the feeling this is a sacred place worthy of the journey it took to get there. The forest itself is lush with vegetation and Koroks as well as a great Deku tree. The Korok Forest is an ideal place for players to visit when they want to get away from the dangerous outside world and relax in a peaceful grove.
2 Zora's Domain Of The Lanayru Region
Zora's Domain is another familiar sight for Legend of Zelda fans. This beautiful water world is home to the Zora, a race of fish-like people who guard the divine beast Vah Ruta. Zora's Domain features plenty of pools and fountains as the Zora love to surround themselves with water. It's a beautiful, crystalline city the glows blue in the nighttime. The beautifully symmetrical domain is a wonderful place to visit, especially for those fond of the domain's Prince Sidon.
1 Atop Satori Mountain
One of the many new locations added to Legend of Zelda in Breath of the Wild is Satori Mountain. It's a landmark many fans hope returns in future installments in the series due to its mysterious beauty. A pink blossom tree sits atop this hidden glade where a beam of blue light is emitted during the nighttime. The elusive god of the mountain can be found here and tamed for a short period of time. This magical location is a new and iconic landmark in Legend of Zelda that fans keep coming back to.
