One of the more surprising announcements at Ubisoft's E3 2019 press conference was the reveal that Adventure Time characters Jake the Dog and Finn the Human would be coming to the fighting game Brawlhalla as guest characters. It seems Brawlhalla saw some success with the Adventure Time crossover, as yet another crossover event has been announced, this time with the WWE.

To promote the upcoming WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view event, Brawlhalla is adding a new mode called Brawldown. Starting tomorrow, Brawlhalla players can battle it out in a SummerSlam wrestling ring, complete with rope physics and various objects associated with the WWE, like WWE-branded steel chairs.

Brawlhalla players will have four WWE superstars to choose from as playable characters in the game. These include WWE 2K20 cover star Becky Lynch, WWE legend The Rock, John Cena, and The New Day's Xavier Woods. Each of the new WWE characters in Brawlhalla will cost 300 Mammoth Coins, so players will be looking at spending a minimum of 1,200 Mammoth Coins if they hope to collect the whole set.

With SummerSlam coming up this weekend, it's no surprise that WWE has been in the news a lot lately. Besides Brawlhalla, WWE has announced the next iteration of its own video game series, WWE 2K20, which looks to be making a number of fan-pleasing changes.

For example, WWE 2K20 will feature women in the MyCareer Mode for the first time in series history. Furthermore, the WWE women will be given a further spotlight through the new 2K Showcase, which will chronicle the rise of the WWE's Four Horsewomen. Additionally, WWE legend Chyna will be available in the game as part of the Deluxe Edition, with Chyna having made history as the first woman to ever hold the Intercontinental Championship, compete in the Royal Rumble, fight in the King of the Ring tournament, and challenge for the WWE Championship.

As for Brawlhalla, it will be interesting to see if the game continues to pursue crossovers in the future. If this WWE crossover event is as successful as the Adventure Time crossover, then one has to imagine that more crossovers are definitely in the cards for the fighting game.

Brawlhalla is out now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
