Another big crossover is headed to Brawlhalla, with the game double-dipping into an intellectual property it has already utilized once. Blue Mammoth Games' free-to-play fighter Brawlhalla is teaming up with AMC's The Walking Dead. The Super Smash Bros-like fighter has been known to mix it up with cooky crossovers in the past, and now two big names from The Walking Dead are being added to the ranks.

Last year Brawlhalla crossed over with The Walking Dead by adding Michonne, Rick Grimes, and Daryl Dixon. This time around the game is receiving Negan and Maggie as members of the roster to Brawlhalla. Fans will only have to wait about a week to enjoy the new fighters.

Negan and Maggie will be joining Brawlhalla on September 22. The newest trailer showcases not only the date in which the characters will be available for fans, but also their design and also how they will play in-game. Brawlhalla is a fighter that focuses on melee weapons, and the trailer shows Maggie using a sign and shovel to take down foes. Meanwhile, Negan is seen wielding his patented baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire (which he calls Lucille). The trailer also shows some footage of Michonne, Rick Grimes, and Daryl Dixon, the characters from the original The Walking Dead crossover.

Blue Mammoth Games has been supporting Brawlhalla constantly with plenty of unique crossover content since the game launched. What is fascinating is the diversity. There has been crossover content based on real-life WWE characters and actors from The Walking Dead, but there has also been Brawlhalla and Kung Fu Panda crossover content that is based on the Dreamworks animated movies. Whether it be video games, cartoons, TV series, and much more, the Brawlhalla crossover content is somehow always surprising and entertaining. It keeps players coming back for more, as the audience enjoys learning the skillsets and taking down enemies with various skins.

Beyond all of the crossovers in Brawlhalla, a major factor for the game's success is its free-to-play nature. There are plenty of non-battle royales free to play titles out there, but Brawlhalla appears to have found its voice among them as an enjoyable and even competitive fighter. It certainly helps that the game is constantly supported with new content, but players are able to stick their toes into the fun for free before purchasing any of the content. With a solid DNA, that is a formula for success.

Brawlhalla is available on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
