Bravely Default 2 is officially in players hands and they are discovering what they enjoy and don't enjoy about the game. One thing is certain, Bravely Default 2 is a long and fairly challenging game.

Players cannot hope to brute force their way through Bravely Default 2, especially on higher difficulty settings, and must make good use of its systems. One of these is the Job system, where the four main characters can take different roles with different powers. These roles can then be mixed and matched to make them stronger. Here are some of the best Jobs and Job Combinations in the game.

There's a lot to cover when it comes to everything essential in the Job system. The most important thing to note is that, while more powerful jobs are unlocked later in the game, many early classes stay good throughout the game and can be readily improved with combos. Here are some of the strongest individual jobs.

Freelancer

Yes, really. Even though it's the starter job, it has some very important functions. Forage nets free items, which saves money and time, and JP Up is useful at all stages. Farming JP is necessary and this class helps with it tremendously, so level it up early and often for all characters. It's especially important for dedicated physical fighters.

Monk

Speaking of dedicated physical fighters, the Monk is a good class for that throughout the whole game. With nothing equipped in hands, it can be a real powerhouse, and it has many good skills. Pair this with any other physical damage dealer classes for an instant beast.

White Mage

It goes without saying, but a healer is essential for a game like this. The White Mage fills this role very well, and is one of the best Jobs on the Bravely Default 2 Job List for it. Classes like the Black Mage and Red Mage are good to pair with the White Mage for MP and BP boosting powers. Later in the game, the Spiritmaster can replace this job, but it is still great before that.

Hellblade

A late game damage dealer, this one's an absolute beast. Sacrificing HP and BP in exchange for devastating attacks, it also unlocks a skill that lets players break the 9999 damage cap. This makes beating the late game very doable.

Now for some combinations.

Bravely Default 2 Adelle Freelancer

Mage + Red Mage

Red Mage has two good abilities for a healer or damage dealing Mage. Magic Critical lets magic deal critical damage, perfect for a damage mage, and Revenge gives a chance to gain BP on damage, perfect for a Healer.

Monk + Swordmaster/Berserker

This is a powerful damage-dealing combo, especially when unarmed with the Monk's Bare-Knuckle Brawler power.

Gambler + Mage

After unlocking the gambler Job, this can let players go nuts with high MP, provided they are willing to accept the risk.

Thief + Phantom

The Thief has Godspeed Strike, which deals massive damage based off speed. The Phantom has the highest speed stat.
