The Otsutsuki Clan is the strongest of all clans in the Naruto series. Home to parasitic aliens who come from another planet, the Otsutsuki clan sees all its members go from planet to planet to consume all life and get stronger in the process. By consuming new life forms, they continuously update themselves.

As genetically advanced beings, the Otsutsuki have multiple Kekkei Genkai at their disposal and are quite capable of achieving fearsome feats like destroying planets. Some can even defeat people even as strong as Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha. Of the Otsutsuki, though, some are definitely stronger than others.

In Boruto, the Otsutsuki are the focal point of the story, and everything that is currently going on in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, is directly tied to this magnificent clan. Over the years, fans have seen quite a lot of these powerful alien parasites emerge one after the other, and all of them are impressive in their own ways. That said, the latest developments in Boruto certainly have skewed their power rankings quite a bit. As such, this list has now been updated accordingly.

13 Urashiki Otsutsuki

Kekkei Genkai: Rinnegan, Byakugan

Urashiki was an anime-only Otsutsuki who first appeared in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. Introduced along with Momoshiki and Kinshiki Otsutsuki, Urashiki was shown to be quite powerful at first, but with time, his abilities became nothing too special.

Urashiki was easily dealt with by Sasuke Uchiha. Even Jiraiya managed to hold his own against him, and Boruto and Naruto Uzumaki contributed to his defeat as well.

Urashiki's Special Ability

Urashiki Otsutsuki had quite a special Dojutsu. Although introduced with the Byakugan, he had the ability to change it into a Rinnegan at will. Furthermore, with his Rinnegan, he could use space-time ninjutsu, as well as go back in time momentarily, making it seem like he could see the future. Urashiki was not the strongest Otsutsuki, but his ability was impressive nonetheless.

12 Toneri Otsutsuki

Kekkei Genkai: Byakugan, Tenseigan

Introduced in The Last: Naruto the Movie as the main antagonist, Toneri Otsutsuki was quite a skilled fighter. Toneri was extremely powerful when in possession of the Byakugan, as seen in the movie.

Eventually, he even managed to evolve the Byakugan into the Tenseigan and gained enough power to destroy the earth if he wanted to. Toneri's Tenseigan Chakra Mode put him on the same level as Naruto Uzumaki and allowed him to slice the moon in half.

Toneri's Special Ability

Toneri Otsutsuki awakened the power of the Tenseigan when he stole Hanabi's eyes and this Kekkei Genkai was, without a doubt, his biggest strength. With the Tenseigan, he was able to use Tenseigan Chakra Mode, which drastically boosted his fighting prowess.

11 Indra Otsutsuki

Kekkei Genkai: Sharingan, Mangekyo Sharingan

The older son of Hagoromo Otsutsuki, Indra was known to be a genius right from when he started training in the ways of ninshu. Indra had inherited the chakra and the ocular prowess of his father and was, thus, a genius.

With power as great as his, Indra was able to fight even Asura Otsutsuki and keep up with him as he did so. After Hagoromo chose Asura to be the successor of his ways, Indra fought his brother in an endless cycle that would never stop.

Indra's Special Ability

Indra Otsutsuki was born with incredible powers and although he didn't have the Rinnegan like two of his successors, he did have an incredibly powerful Mangekyo Sharingan. With it, he could use the mighty Susano'o and match Asura Otsutsuki in battle.

10 Asura Otsutsuki

Kekkei Genkai: N/A

The younger brother of Indra Otsutsuki, Asura was quite a lot like Naruto Uzumaki back in the day. Born with no talent, Asura Otsutsuki was nowhere near his brother's level; however, continuous training and help from all those around him shaped him to be the man who would eventually go on to replace Hagoromo Otsutsuki.

Asura was quite powerful and had the same vitality as Naruto Uzumaki. The Uzumaki and the Senju are the direct descendants of Asura Otsutsuki — in a sense, all of their power stems from him.

Asura's Special Ability

Asura Otsutsuki didn't have any special talents, however, he was gifted the powers of his father, Hagoromo Otsutsuki. Thanks to the Six Paths Senjutsu, he could fight and overwhelm even Indra. Asura's biggest ability was to use a giant three-headed and six-armed chakra avatar.

9 Hamura Otsutsuki

Kekkei Genkai: Byakugan, Tenseigan

Hamura Otsutsuki was the younger brother of the Sage of Six Paths and quite a powerful fighter, just like the Sage himself. However, unlike him, Hamura didn't have the Rinnegan at his disposal.

It is believed that Hamura had access to the Tenseigan, along with the Six Paths chakra.

In the fight against Kaguya Otsutsuki, Hamura played a big role, as he helped Hagoromo seal her away. Although his true strength remains unknown, Hamura has certainly shown himself to be quite a skilled warrior.

Hamura's Special Ability

Hamura Otsutsuki, while often underrated, was actually quite powerful. He was the first and the only person to awaken the Tenseigan with normal means. Hamura likely made use of the Tenseigan Chakra Mode, along with his ability to use Six Paths Senjutsu, making him one of the most powerful Otsutsuki.

8 Kinshiki Otsutsuki

Kekkei Genkai: Byakugan

Kinshiki Otsutsuki appeared in Boruto: Naruto the Movie as one of the main antagonists of the story. In Kaguya's dimension, Kinshiki was shown to be able to fight against Sasuke Uchiha, who had grown several times stronger since the Fourth Great Ninja War.

With his chakra weapons, Kinshiki could cut anything in two. Perhaps this power may come into play in a future story set in this world.

Kinshiki Otsutsuki's Special Ability

Kinshiki Otsutsuki had quite a few abilities up his sleeve but, without a doubt, his biggest ability was to be able to summon the various weapons that could cleave through anything. It is believed that his weapons could split even a planet apart.

7 Momoshiki Otsutsuki

Kekkei Genkai: Rinnegan, Byakugan

The main antagonist of Boruto: Naruto the Movie, Momoshiki Otsutsuki traveled with Kinshiki Otsutsuki to earth in search of the Nine-Tails. Momoshiki was clearly the stronger of the two, as evident from Kinshiki's loyalty to him when he wanted his power.

Momoshiki had the powers of the Byakugan and possessed the Rinnegan on top of that. After absorbing Kinshiki, he could even take on both Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha at once — which is no small feat.

Momoshiki Otsutsuki's Special Ability

As one of the higher-ranked and strongest Otsutsuki, Momoshiki had great power up his sleeve. With his first Rinnegan, he could absorb any kind of chakra. With his second Rinnegan, he could return the same chakra, however, by making it several times stronger. Momoshiki's abilities got scarier after he absorbed Kinshiki himself.

6 Hagoromo Otsutsuki

Kekkei Mora: Rinnegan

The Sage of Six Paths, Hagoromo Otsutsuki is known to be one of the strongest characters in the Naruto series, if not the strongest. As Kaguya's son, Hagoromo was born with a tremendously powerful chakra. On top of that, Hagoromo Otsutsuki had an overpowered Rinnegan at his disposal, which he used to seal Kaguya Otsutsuki away.

Hagoromo Otsutsuki created the Tailed Beasts with the creation of All Things and breathed life into them, which just goes to show how skilled he truly was. These Tailed Beasts have reappeared several times over the course of Naruto and Boruto, and are vital to the lore.

Hagoromo Otsutsuki's Special Ability

The Sage of Six Paths is easily among the strongest Otsutsuki in the story, and he strongly inherited his mother's chakra. With his Rinnegan, Hagoromo could perform miracles. His biggest ability, without a doubt, was a Yin-Yang Release jutsu called the Creation of All Things. This technique allowed him to create anything and then breathe life into it, almost as if he was a God.

5 Kaguya Otsutsuki

Kekkei Mora: Rinne-Sharingan, Byakugan

Known to be the progenitor of chakra on earth, Kaguya Otsutsuki came to earth a long time ago and eventually became its ruler. Kaguya was already quite powerful, and by eating the chakra fruit that the God Tree bore, she became even stronger.

Kaguya had the Byakugan along with the Rinne-Sharingan at her disposal and was powerful enough to fight both Hagoromo and Hamura Otsutsuki at once. In the Fourth Great Ninja War, she took on Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and eventually the remaining people around them all at once.

Kaguya Otsutsuki's Special Ability

Kaguya Otsutsuki had more than just one trick up her sleeve, however, her Rinne-Sharingan was, by far, the biggest and most dangerous ability that she's ever shown. Kaguya could use it to cast Infinite Tsukuyomi, as well as perform several powerful space-time ninjutsu.

4 Isshiki Otsutsuki

Kekkei Genkai: Unknown

The strongest of all the Otsutsuki, Isshiki was introduced in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations as the biggest known antagonist to date. Isshiki was higher-ranking than Kaguya Otsutsuki, making him stronger than the latter.

In his fight against Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha, Isshiki proved himself to be quite capable by defeating them both without so much as a scratch. With his ocular powers, he could shrink up himself and anything inanimate. He could also use his special Dojutsu power called Daikokuten to summon large cubes which could destroy anyone.

Isshiki Otsutsuki's Special Ability

It is only natural for the strongest Otsutsuki in the series to have the strongest ability. Isshiki Otsutsuki's eye was his biggest asset, as seen in the story. He could summon chakra rods and shrink them using a technique called Sukunahikona. Furthermore, Isshiki could make use of a dimension where time didn't flow at all.

3 Kawaki

Kekkei Genkai: Unknown Eye

Kawaki, just like Boruto Uzumaki, is a unique case when it comes to the Otsutsuki beings. Kawaki is not a natural-born Otsutsuki. Instead, he was a normal human until the early parts of his childhood life. However, when Jigen bought him and inscribed his Karma on him, he then received the DNA of the Otsutsuki inside him.

This Karma seal slowly extracted all the genetic material of Isshiki Otsutsuki inside him, and, by the current time, Kawaki is around 80% Otsutsuki, just like Boruto Uzumaki. At the same time, it must also be noted that Kawaki differs from Boruto in the sense that he does not have an Otsutsuki dwelling inside him. His karma exists purely for the sake of power, and it simply makes him a weapon, and not a vessel. Kawaki is certainly one of the strongest individuals in the series right now, and clearly, he can be considered to be an Otsutsuki as well. Every ability that Isshiki had can be utilized by Kawaki, and this also includes fighting experience, skills, and just about everything that one can imagine.

Kawaki's Strongest Abilities

Kawaki certainly has access to all the powers that Isshiki Otsutsuki had, and that makes him quite a powerful individual. While he certainly has quite a lot of incredible skills up his sleeve, his strongest ability is, undoubtedly, his Dojutsu which remains unexplained to this day. It is through this Dojutsu that Kawaki can utilize the powers of both Sukunahikona, and Daikokuten. These two are his strongest powers, and, they certainly are very impressive. With Sukunahikona, he can shrink himself as well as any non-living matter to microscopic sizes and return them to their normal sizes, almost instantaneously.

This process is incredibly fast, and even Six Paths power users cannot track it down. At the same time, the power of Daikokuten allows him to access a pocket dimension, which is a world where time absolutely does not flow. Kawaki can store anything inside this dimension, or access it himself, making him an incredibly powerful individual in his own right.

2 Boruto Uzumaki

Kekkei Genkai: Byakugan, Jougan

Boruto Uzumaki is quite a curious case when it comes to the Otsutsuki clan members. For one, Boruto isn't a natural-born Otsutsuki. However, he certainly has karma in his body, which means that the vast majority of Momoshiki’s DNA is present inside him.

While Boruto doesn't appear like an Otsutsuki, he is actually a member of the clan as well, given that over 80% of his body is similar to that of Momoshiki. In fact, Boruto is even referred to as Otsutsuki by the likes of Kawaki. Furthermore, Boruto holds all powers of Momoshiki, including his fighting experience as well as everything else that he has attained in his life. While Boruto isn't 100% Otsutsuki, the fact that he could be used as a sacrifice to the God Tree means that he can be considered a full-fledged Otsutsuki now.

Boruto's Strongest Abilities

Right now, Boruto Uzumaki can be considered to be one of the strongest individuals in the entirety of the Naruto franchise. Regardless of whether this power is earned or not, the fact is that Boruto is quite strong. He has plenty of abilities up his sleeve, and the strongest of these include the likes of Rasengan Uzuhiko, among others. However, the strongest ability that has up his sleeve is certainly the power of his Karma seal. When he utilized the stage 2 transformation of Karma, it is at that point that he can be considered to be at his strongest. This gives Boruto access to Momoshiki’s experience, his skill, and every single ability of the Otsutsuki that one can imagine. Furthermore, Boruto also has his Jougan, and the powers of this eye still remain unexplained to this day.

1 Shibai Otsutsuki

Kekkei Genkai: Rinnegan, Byakugan

Shibai Otsutsuki is the strongest Otsustuki of all time. He was mentioned for the first time by Amado rather recently. He existed a long ago, before even Kaguya or anyone else came to planet Earth. He, just like all the other members of the Otsutsuki clan, went from planet to planet consuming chakra fruits and growing stronger. Eventually, he grew to a level where he ascended from being a mere mortal to godhood. Shibai Otsutsuki is actually a god in the world of Boruto and he's believed to be alive even now. That said, it has been theorized that he has left behind his old body and ascended to something even greater.

What exactly Shibai is right now is not known to the fans, however, the fact that he is a god means that he could very well become more relevant in the story moving forward. Although he isn't directly involved in the plot right now, his powers certainly are, as they are exhibited by other characters who are currently playing a major role in Boruto.

Shibai's Strongest Ability

Shibai Otsutsuki possessed several abilities that can be classified as extremely dangerous. hile most characters in the world of Naruto use powers that can be classified under either genjutsu, ninjutsu, or taijutsu, Shibai's powers are very different. His Powers didn't fall under any of these categories. In fact, he was a user of Shinjutsu, which is a completely different class of abilities that can be used only by the gods. He had the power of the Senrigan, and many other incredible abilities such as Clairvoyance.

He also had the power to reflect any damage thrown his way automatically. Things such as killing intent would also be reflected off of him, which is nothing short of magnificent and worthy of the strongest Otsutsuki. While all these abilities make him incredibly powerful to defeat in combat, and probably even invincible, there was an even greater ability that he possessed, called Omnipotence. With Omnipotence, Shibai could make anything that he desired into a reality. In the entire world of Naruto, there is no power as fearsome or useful as Omnipotence.
