Naruto Uzumaki's latest power-up, Baryon Mode, is an ability that was introduced in the Kawaki arc of the Boruto series. In order to fight the threat of Isshiki Otsutsuki, Boruto's strongest antagonist, Naruto and Kurama made use of Baryon Mode, which gave them enough strength to overcome the biggest threat they'd ever faced.
Baryon Mode makes use of Naruto and Kurama's chakra as raw materials to create a much greater and completely new energy, making this a tremendous ability. As expected, Baryon Mode has several advantages that make it Naruto's strongest form to date, by far.
7 Strength Greater Than The Otsutsuki
Perhaps the biggest boost that Baryon Mode gives to Naruto is the drastic increase in strength that it brings. Before accessing Baryon Mode, Naruto Uzumaki was barely able to graze Isshiki with the power of his Six Paths Sage Mode. However, after acquiring the power of Baryon Mode, he could easily overwhelm Isshiki in combat.
In fact, his punches became strong enough to toss Isshiki around without any trouble whatsoever. While the strength boost isn't the greatest asset of Baryon Mode, it is still quite significant and makes him stronger than even Isshiki Otsutsuki, which is incredible, to say the least.
6 Reflexes Better Than Six Paths Sage Mode
Along with his strength, Naruto's reflexes also reach sky-high levels while using Baryon Mode. While Six Paths Sage Mode is supposed to grant Naruto the ability to perceive anything almost immediately, Baryon Mode takes things one step further.
With the former ability, Naruto was able to dodge Madara's Light Fang, a beam that travels at lightspeed, quite easily, yet couldn't react to the rods that Isshiki threw his way. With Baryon Mode, however, Naruto could not only dodge the rods but also catch them as if they were an insignificant threat to him, which just goes to show that Baryon Mode is that much more powerful than Six Paths Sage Mode.
5 Speed Greater Than Before
As with all the other physical attributes, Naruto's speed is also increased tremendously when using Baryon Mode. In Six Paths Sage Mode, Isshiki Otsutsuki had no trouble keeping up with Naruto. In fact, he could even keep up with him without going all out.
With Baryon Mode, however, Isshiki couldn't keep track of all of Naruto's movements. Even when making use of special Dojutsu abilities such as Sukunahikona and Daikokuten, Isshiki wasn't able to hurt Naruto Uzumaki because he was able to dodge everything that he threw his way and counter before he could even react.
4 Ability To Drain Lifespan
Baryon Mode's biggest power is its ability to drain lifespan. This form burns up Naruto and Kurama's chakra, meaning it is a huge gamble. However, since all chakra is connected, any contact that Naruto makes with his enemies also burns up their chakra, meaning landing a couple of blows is enough to drain someone's lifespan.
When Naruto fought Isshiki, he was able to reduce his lifespan from 3 days to mere minutes before he even understood what was going on. The fact that Naruto was able to almost kill him despite him being the strongest in the entire series just goes to show how strong Baryon Mode is.
3 No Wasted Movements
Yet another incredible ability of the Baryon Mode is that it wastes no movements to maximize the power output. Although this is mostly up to Naruto Uzumaki himself, it certainly does help in combat tremendously. By removing all superfluous thoughts from his mind, Naruto is able to maximize the power output and, thus, waste not even a single movement.
Everything that he does is aimed to shave the lifespan of his target or to damage them in some way. This makes Baryon Mode quite a threatening power as it sees Naruto Uzumaki at his sharpest, with his combat ability being refined to the highest level.
2 Can Kill In A Few Hits
Essentially, Baryon Mode allows Naruto to kill in a few hits against most enemies. Isshiki Otsutsuki was the strongest character in the Naruto franchise, surpassing even the likes of Kaguya Otsutsuki by far.
The fact that Naruto was able to reduce his lifespan to mere minutes just by landing a few blows on him means that for the rest, it would merely take a couple of punches. Most villains from Naruto would probably die after being punched with Baryon Mode just once, which just goes to show that this power-up is, in fact, extremely overpowered.
1 Double-Edged Sword
Baryon Mode is a double-edged sword, at the end of the day. While it does offer great power, it also comes at a huge price. If overused, Baryon Mode consumes the life of Kurama, Naruto's Tailed Beast, and wipes it from existence entirely.
However, that is part of what makes this form so special. Instead of being a power-up with no repercussions, Baryon Mode raises the stakes through the roof and makes things much more exciting, which is yet another reason why it is Naruto Uzumaki's greatest power-up to date. This tremendous power comes at a huge price but the ability that it offers is, by far, greater than anything seen in the Naruto franchise, ever.
