E3 2021 is right around the corner, and so the leaks are coming fast and furious. Most of the E3 2021 "leaks" can be safely ignored as having no basis in reality, but a recent leak has a bit more credibility, potentially revealing everything fans can expect from Take-Two Interactive's presence at the big show. Apparently, it will include the reveal of a brand new Borderlands video game in the form of a Tiny Tina spin-off.

Reddit user swine_flu_greg recently posted to the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit to detail 2K Games (Take-Two's subsidiary) titles that will potentially be announced at E3 2021. The headlining game is Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, which is the apparent name of the Borderlands spin-off. According to the leak, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands will play like the other Borderlands games, so fans should expect a first-person looter-shooter with multiple playable characters to choose from. Gearbox has filed a trademark for Tiny Tina's Wonderlands in the past, so there is a great deal of credibility to this leak.

Some fans may be confused about how Tiny Tina's Wonderlands has anything to do with 2K or Take-Two Interactive since Gearbox has been acquired by Embracer Group. Despite Embracer Group's Gearbox acquisition, it seems 2K Games will continue to handle Borderlands' publishing duties, and that would include future games like the leaked Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.

Other games mentioned in the leak include NBA 2K22's cover athlete being Dirk Nowitzki, XCOM developer Firaxis developing a new Marvel strategy game, and something currently known as Codename Volt, described as "Cthulhu meets Saints Row." The only game that swine_flu_greg points to being revealed at E3 is Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, so fans should keep their expectations in check about whether or not they'll get to see the other games.

Besides Gearbox Software having a trademark for the leaked Borderlands spin-off game, something else that lends this particular leak credibility is Jason Schreier. A proven industry insider and reporter for Bloomberg, Schreier said on Twitter that he was wondering if people were going to find this leak, which isn't an outright endorsement of its validity but does seem to give it far more credibility than it would have otherwise. Even so, it's best to take this information with a grain of salt until an official announcement is made.

As for when fans may be able to expect Tiny Tina's Wonderlands to be revealed, it's been by the E3 2021 schedule that Gearbox will have a presentation on Saturday, June 12. The exact time of the presentation hasn't been revealed, but it's also been confirmed that Take-Two will have some announcements on Monday, June 14, so there will be a couple of opportunities for it and the other leaked games to make an appearance.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is rumored to be in development for unspecified platforms.
