In Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, aka Borderlands remastered, players can find a golden chest in Fyrestone that requires golden keys to unlock. Borderlands remastered golden keys can't be found by exploring the game world or completing quests, but rather, by inputting shift codes that are typically doled out on social media. To date, there have been three shift codes released for Borderlands remastered, with the latest released on April 19.

On April 19, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford released yet another shift code for Borderlands remastered. Like the other two shift codes released for the game, this latest shift code will get players five golden keys. Once players have inputted the shift code and claimed their five golden keys, they can visit the chest in Fyrestone and use them in exchange for top-tier loot.

Unlike in past Borderlands games, the Borderlands remastered shift codes are universal across all platforms. Previously, each platform had its own unique shift code, which made things a little messy. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come with Borderlands 3, which will presumably use shift codes as well.

Here is the latest Borderlands remastered shift code, which will work for Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition on PC, PS4, and Xbox One:

ZFCB3-6C66R-WJX5B-JBBBT-HRWBS

Shift codes for Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel often have expiration dates, but no expiration dates have been given for the Borderlands remastered shift codes so far. It's possible that the shift codes for Borderlands remastered will always work instead of expiring, but that's just speculation at this time.

In the meantime, any Borderlands remastered fans who want to collect even more golden keys should input these codes as well:

  • April 8 Shift Code: WJCBB-5RRJK-9B3RJ-6XT3T-CBZBF
  • April 10 Shift Code: SRCBJ-5KXFF-5T6K3-33BBB-WBF6H

After using all the shift codes, Borderlands remastered fans should have at least 15 golden keys that they can use on the chest in Fyrestone. Meanwhile, those that have save files for Borderlands: The Handsome Collection games tied to their account should have been treated to some bonus shift codes as well, so there should be plenty of loot to go around.

Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
