Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel has been getting more attention lately thanks to its 4K update in The Handsome Collection, and that attention has included some more shift codes. Like in other Borderlands games, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel players can input shift codes to get golden keys that can in turn be used to open the golden chest for special loot.
New Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel shift codes have been released as of May 3, 2019, and they expire on May 20, 2019. These codes replace the April 2019 shift codes, which expired on May 6. Unlike the shift codes for Borderlands remastered, the Pre-Sequel shift codes are different depending on platform, so those interested should keep that in mind.
One of these shift codes was released on the Borderlands 3 Twitter page, whereas the other was released on the Borderlands Facebook. Both codes will get players five golden keys to use in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, so fans should be sure to use them before they expire on May 20.
Here are the new Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel shift codes for May 2019:

In the future, it's likely that Gearbox will start winding down support for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and that may include no longer sending out new shift codes for the game. This is because the studio will likely focus its efforts on Borderlands 3 when that game releases in September, and so Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel fans should be sure to use the new shift codes for the game while they still have the chance to do so.
Of course, it's also possible Gearbox will keep supporting Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel with shift codes indefinitely. After all, the game has pretty consistently gotten a new set of shift codes every month.
Meanwhile, Gearbox has continued to release shift codes for other Borderlands games as well. Borderlands: Game of the Year in particular has gotten shift codes on a regular basis, so fans should redeem those as well. Luckily, it doesn't seem as though the Borderlands remastered shift codes expire, so there may not be quite the same sense of urgency when compared to Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel shift codes.
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is out now for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
