Borderlands Fan Shows Off Incredible Zane Cosplay

The Borderlands franchise, even the newest Borderlands 3 entry, is no stranger to cosplay. Lilith, Maya, Mad Moxxi, Roland, Mordecai, and practically every character in the franchise has been done before. Even the new characters such as FL4K the Beastmaster and Zane the Operative were cosplayed at Gamescom 2019, with Zane's perhaps being the most impressive Borderlands cosplay to date.

A cosplayer whose online tag is Maul Cosplay saw Gamescom 2019 as a good time to show off his incredibly astounding Zane cosplay. There's not a detail out of line, but perhaps the most incredible aspect of this Borderlands 3 cosplay is how it captures the graphics of the franchise. Maul has deeply immersed himself in Zane's character with a solid application of make-up and costume design.

Zane isn't the first character Maul has taken on, with the same person also having cosplayed Red Dead Redemption 2's Arthur Morgan, Mortal Kombat 11's Scorpion, The Witcher 3's Geralt of Rivia, Overwatch's Soldier: 76, and of course, Star Wars' Darth Maul. Each is done with an incredible eye for detail, but as seen below, his Borderlands 3 Zane cosplay truly takes the cake.

Whether its the markings on his face, the designed folds on his shirt, or the appropriately placed lights, there is something truly eye-catching about this cosplay that makes it seem as if the game has come to life. If nothing else, this cosplay helps build anticipation for the forthcoming looter shooter threequel, as Borderlands 3 is less than a month away. Those who haven't yet may truly want to begin considering what character they will play first, as there is a Borderlands 3 tool that lets players build characters out right now.

Also, for those who don't already have their copy locked down, here's every pre-order bonus and special edition for Borderlands 3.
