It has been an eventful week for Borderlands 3 fans, as gobs of information on the game has been pouring out into the Internet for all to consume. Some of what has made its way to the public is intentional, while others are not, such as the recent Borderlands 3 gameplay footage that made its way online. An example of what was approved for public consumption is a preview of the skill trees for Amara the Siren. It isn't a fully detailed look, but at least three of the skills she can learn have been revealed.

Amara is one of the four new Vault Hunters players will be able to control in Borderlands 3and since she's a Siren, she will be packing some magical skills. The preview of her Mystical skill tree was briefly shown during the ECHOcast Twitch Extension trailer that developer Gearbox posted yesterday. It highlights interactive features for Twitch streamers and viewers, and while touring a player's profile, audiences got a glimpse of three skills for Amara.

Phasecast (Augment)

  • Amara sends forward an Astral Projection of herself, dealing damage to everything in its path.
  • This must be equipped to use.

Do Harm (Passive Ability)

  • Killing an enemy grants Amara a stack of Rush. Activating her action skill consumes all Rush stacks.
  • For every stack of Rush consumed, Amara’s Action Skill Damage is temporarily increased.

Violent Tapestry (Passive Ability)

  • Applying an Elemental Effect grants Amara a stack of Rush. Activating her action skill consumes all Rush stacks.
  • For every stack of Rush consumed, Amara’s Elemental Effect Chance is temporarily increased.

While the entirety of Amara's Mystical skill tree can be seen in the video, without actually highlighting the skills for a description, it is not possible to ascertain what they do. But fear not. With the rate information is being delivered, the full tree--as well as those for other characters--should make their debut in the near future. The upcoming official Borderlands 3 gameplay event is also just a day away, scheduled for May 1, so we might see more then. Either way, there ought to be plenty to digest during and after the event.

However, at least one character has had their entire skill tree revealed already. An extensive look at Zane, the Operative, and all three of his skills trees were posted online recently. Once Borderland 3 launches, players will have the ability to choose from either Under Cover, Hitman, and Doubled Agent with Zane, all with their own individual abilities and benefits. There is a lot to take in and the information is very detailed, so if the character piques one's interest, it is worth checking out all three leaked skill trees for Zane.

Borderlands 3 launches September 13, 2019 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
