Borderlands 3 gets a new shift code nearly every day, so it's no surprise that Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford has released yet another one to the masses to kick off the weekend. This new Borderlands 3 shift code is live right now and will remain active until Saturday, October 19 at 10am CST, at which point it will expire and be gone forever. Considering this, any Borderlands 3 players that want to redeem the new shift code will want to act fast.

Redeeming the latest Borderlands 3 shift code is the same as redeeming any of the other Borderlands 3 shift codes. Players can redeem the code on either the Gearbox Software website, or in-game. And unlike previous entries in the series, the code is the same no matter which version of Borderlands 3 fans are playing. Once redeemed, players will be sent a free golden key in their Borderlands 3 mailbox that can then be used to open the chest on Sanctuary for some free loot.

The new Borderlands 3 shift code for October 18-19 is 5H5JJ-KJ6HB-95JWW-BJTJJ-95FJW. Remember that it expires at 10am CST on Saturday, October 19, so check the time before trying to redeem it.

Hopefully this new Borderlands 3 shift code doesn't run into the same problems that the most recent shift code did. Randy Pitchford attempted to release a Borderlands 3 shift code last night, only for it to not work properly. He then had to post a different shift code, which expired earlier today.

Most of the Borderlands 3 shift codes expire fairly quickly, though there are some that have a bit more longevity. There was a batch of Borderlands 3 shift codes released around the game's launch that haven't expired, and currently have no expiration date announced at all. It's possible that these shift codes will be available to use throughout the game's lifespan, though Borderlands 3 players may want to redeem them as soon as possible just to be safe.

For now, this new Borderlands 3 shift code for October 18 and 19 will be live until 10am CST on Saturday, October 19. It will likely be replaced by yet another Borderlands 3 shift code shared on the Twitter account of Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford, so fans will want to keep an eye out.

Borderlands 3 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version also in development.
