Borderlands 3 may be a couple of years old at this point, but there are still plenty of Vault Hunters that are exploring the game world, shooting and looting everything in sight. Dedicated Borderlands 3 players may still be redeeming Shift Codes in exchange for Golden Keys, which they can use to get some free loot. Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford has shared a brand new Borderlands 3 Shift Code, which players can redeem from now until it expires on Thursday, September 2.

For those who may be unfamiliar with how Borderlands 3 Shift Codes work, basically players need to redeem the code, either through the Gearbox website or in-game. Once the code is redeemed, Borderlands 3 players should check their mailbox. Inside the mailbox will be the three Golden Keys, which can then be used on the chest aboard the Sanctuary III ship. It's something that longtime Borderlands 3 players may have done countless times by now, but newcomes may not exactly know how to redeem their Shift Codes and use their keys.

Here is the new Borderlands 3 shift code for three Golden Keys: 5SK3B-S9HFH-CR56Z-6TJJT-CSR5B. Keep in mind that it expires on September 2, though it's quite likely that Pitchford or the official Borderlands social media channels will have more Golden Keys to share soon thereafter.

Redeeming Shift Codes and collecting more loot is a great way for Borderlands fans to pass the time while they wait for more information on the next game in the long-running looter-shooter series. However, the next Borderlands game is going in quite a different direction, embracing the quirky fantasy elements from the Borderlands 2 expansion Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep and delivering a new adventure called Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands will have four Vault Hunters and will generally be familiar to fans of the franchise, but it will also be taking the series in some bold new directions. Whether or not the gamble pays off remains to be seen, but Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep earned widespread acclaim, so it seems like an overall safe bet that Tiny Tina's Wonderlands will be a hit among those in the Borderlands community.

Besides Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, there's even more for Borderlands franchise fans to look forward to. Namely, the Borderlands film directed by Eli Roth is in the midst of production and seems to be getting more effort than most video game movie adaptations. It will be interesting to see if the Borderlands movie is able to live up to the high bar set by the video game franchise.

Borderlands 3 is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
