To celebrate the holiday season, Gearbox Software and 2K Games are releasing new Borderlands 3 shift codes over the next eight days that give fans free items, cosmetics, and more in the popular looter-shooter. Today marks the second day of the Borderlands 3 Gifts of Mayhem event, with the official Borderlands Twitter account releasing a new Borderlands 3 shift code that will get players a legendary assault rifle.

Borderlands 3 players need to visit either the Gearbox Software website, the Borderlands website, or go in-game to redeem the latest shift code. After it's redeemed, the legendary assault rifle will be sent to players' in-game Borderlands 3 mailboxes. This may require players to do a full restart of the game first, however,

Here is the Borderlands 3 shift code for December 14 that will get them a free legendary assault rifle: WSW33-HSFJ9-CWRZF-6J3B3-JF6BF. This Borderlands 3 shift code expires on January 10, 2020 at 11:59pm PST, so fans have a little less than a month to redeem the shift code and claim their free weapon.

The Borderlands 3 free legendary assault rifle joins the first Gifts of Mayhem gift, which was released on social media yesterday. The first gift was a Christmas-themed ECHO skin that decorated one's ECHO device in candy cane colors. This new legendary assault rifle doesn't appear to be explicitly themed after Christmas or any other holidays, so it will be interesting to see if the upcoming gifts stick to the theme.

As previously mentioned, Borderlands 3 players have eight days of gifts to look forward to this year. The festivities started on December 13, which means that the last Borderlands 3 gift will be released next Friday, December 20. It remains to be seen what the other Borderlands 3 gifts will be, but fans can count on them being things like new cosmetic items and maybe even some more weapons.

The official Borderlands 3 social media accounts will be releasing new shift codes on a daily basis between now and Friday, December 20. Fans may also want to keep an eye on the Twitter account of Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford, just in case he releases any new Borderlands 3 shift codes that will get players free Golden Keys.

Borderlands 3 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version also in development.
