November 21 is a big day for Borderlands 3 fans. Later today, Gearbox Software will be releasing an update that will add the Takedown at Maliwan's Blacksite DLC to the game, and to celebrate, CEO Randy Pitchford has tweeted out a new shift code for fans to redeem.

The new Borderlands 3 shift code is good for one Golden Key in the popular looter-shooter. It's live right now and will be available to redeem until it expires on Friday, November 22 at 10am CST. For those that have yet to redeem a Borderlands 3 shift code or are jumping back into the game for the Takedown at Maliwan's Blacksite DLC and may not remember, it's a pretty simple process. To redeem the new Borderlands 3 shift code, players just need to visit the official Gearbox Software website or redeem the code in-game.

After redeeming the new Borderlands 3 shift code for November 21, players will be sent a Golden Key in their mailbox. This Golden Key can be used on the chest aboard Sanctuary III for some free loot. Coincidentally, Sanctuary III is also where players will need to go to start the new Takedown at Maliwan's Blacksite DLC.

Here is the new Borderlands 3 shift code for November 21: CHKJ3-B6HHB-ZWBK5-3JJJT-CRHFJ. Remember that it expires on Friday, November 22 at 10am CST, so there is less than 24 hours to redeem it.

Anyone that happens upon this post after the new Borderlands 3 shift code is expired should rest easy knowing that new shift codes are released on a regular basis. Typically, Pitchford releases new Borderlands 3 shift codes on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, though he sometimes releases them on weekdays as well (as evidenced by this code). Last weekend was a bit different, though, as Pitchford didn't release any new shift codes. It's unclear why that was, though it's worth pointing out that the 2K Games social media accounts were hacked last weekend, and that could have played a role.

Borderlands 3 players have more than just new shift codes to look forward to. Next month will bring with it the first story DLC episode, called Moxxi's Heist at the Handsome Jackpot. As the first substantial piece of post-release content for Borderlands 3 yet, it will be interesting to see if a special shift code with more than one Golden Key is released to coincide with its release.

Borderlands 3 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version also in development.
