Borderlands 3 fans usually only get new shift codes from Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, but this week he surprised everyone by releasing a new shift code on Thursday evening. Like most Borderlands 3 shift codes shared by Randy Pitchford, this latest one has an extremely short shelf-life, and so those that want to redeem it will have to act fast.

Redeeming the new Borderlands 3 shift code is fairly simple, and should be routine for fans of the game by now. To redeem the new Borderlands 3 shift code, players can visit the official Gearbox Software website, or they can redeem the code in-game. Once the code has been redeemed, Borderlands 3 players just need to check their in-game mailbox to collect their free Golden Key. Like always, the free Golden Key is used on the chest aboard Sanctuary III.

However, Borderlands 3 fans that want to redeem this new shift code will have to act fast, as it expires at 10am CST on Friday, November 15. That's just a few hours away at the time of this writing, so time is running out. The new Borderlands 3 shift code is: 5ZW3T-HTHHJ-HWTCC-3BTTJ-JBFCB. If players are reading this post after 10am CST on Friday, November 15, that new Borderlands 3 shift code will unfortunately be expired, and they'll have to wait for Pitchford to send out a new one.

On the bright side, it is the weekend, and so there should be at least three more Borderlands 3 shift codes for fans to redeem. Pitchford typically sends out new Borderlands 3 shift codes on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, so those interested may want to keep an eye on his Twitter account if they want to redeem them. In the meantime, there are also some other Borderlands 3 shift codes that have been active since launch and don't seem to have an expiration date, so fans may want to make sure that they've already redeemed those.

Borderlands 3 fans have many more shift codes to look forward to, not to mention some substantial new content. The Takedown at Maliwan's Blacksite update will be arriving in December, and there's a chance that the first story DLC episode will launch next month as well. Specifics on the Borderlands 3 story DLC are hard to come by at this time, though it's been teased that Handsome Jack will be involved in some manner.

Handsome Jack DLC for Borderlands 3 would be big news for Gearbox's looter-shooter, and could be exactly what's needed to bring lapsed players back into the fold. We'll find out more about that on November 20, so fans should have a few more shift codes to redeem between now and then.

Borderlands 3 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version also in development.
