As with every new Borderlands 3 DLC, a slew of new secrets, weapons, and items are introduced. The Psycho Krieg And The Fantastic Fustercluck adds brand new Legendary shields, class mods, and guns. As per usual, these items range from easy to farm to “Oh my god drop the freaking weapon already!”

After going through all of the new Legendary items, there are some that are clearly better than others. Overall, the loot is pretty great, but there will always be the ones that stand out more than others. Some items are fantastic on all characters while others complement specific classes. As good as these items are, let’s just hope Gearbox doesn’t end up nerfing them two weeks after launch.

10 Plus Ultra - Pangolin Shield

Borderlands 3 Plus Ultra Shield

There were a few new shields in the Fantastic Fustercluck but the best one, by far, is the Plus Ultra. The shield initially just shows that it can absorb ammo but also give you a 30% action skill cooldown increase.

There is also a secret perk, which is having it equipped doubles your current health. You can use this to your advantage for various Vault Hunters. For instance, it doubles the health of FL4K’s pet, Zane’s Digi-Clone, and even Moze’s Iron Bear. With the added cooldown of your Action Skill, this is a terrific shield for survivability.

9 Convergence - Hyperion Shotgun

Borderlands 3 Hyperion Shotgun Convergence

The Fantastic Fustercluck DLC brings in the Convergence shotgun, manufactured by Hyperion. The title of Best Shotgun in Borderlands 3 does change often and as of now, the Convergence might be the new one to hold it.

Whenever you shoot an enemy, the Convergence will bring in three shots per pellet count around the enemy, each hitting them directly. The highest pellet count you can roll on this gun is eight, meaning you can get upwards of 24 shots. This means that FL4K’s Fade Away can make great use of the Convergence.

8 Major Kong - COV Rocket Launcher

Major Kong COV Launcher From Borderlands 3

The Major Kong is a very powerful COV Launcher that has excellent crowd control capabilities. The Major Kong is an ideal weapon for mobbing but not so much bossing. This is because of its special ability to seek out homing missiles after shooting it.

The initial base damage when hitting an enemy is good but the appeal of the Major Kong is those missiles that have very good accuracy. On Mayhem 10, this weapon can drop with over 200,000 base damage. Obviously, it’s great for Moze since those missiles can double in Splash Damage but Zane’s clone can also utilize it very well.

7 Rebound - COV Assault Rifle

Rebound COV Assault Rifle From Borderlands 3

Out of all the new weapons in the Fantastic Fustercluck DLC, the Rebound is the most fun to use. This is because it puts Krieg’s Buzz Axe Rampage skill into gun form. The Rebound shoots out explosive saw blades. Enough said.

The added bonus is that these sawblades can ricochet off enemies and surfaces, leading to tons of explosive blades all across the battlefield. A Splash Damage Moze Build can make great use of the Rebound.

6 P.A.T. Mk III - Tediore SMG

P.A.K MK III SMG From Borderlands 3

The P.A.T. Mk III is an annoying but very special Tediore SMG. The annoying part comes from the fact that it talks. You’ll get past that once you find out what it does. Generally, the damage of a Tediore’s reload throw depends on how much was left in the magazine.

With the P.A.T. Mk III, it always gets thrown with a full magazine no matter how much was left. This means you aren’t required to waste all of your ammo on the reload throw and you can get some good hits before throwing it at its full capacity. Ammo efficiency isn’t what you usually associate with an SMG but it is with the P.A.T. Mk III.

5 Prompt Critical - Torque Pistol

Prompt Critical Pistol From Borderlands 3

The Prompt Critical is a Torque Pistol that, like all Torque weapons, has an impact and sticky firing mode. The kicker with this particular pistol is how sticky mode actually works.

Each sticky grenade you have on an enemy will ultimately increase the damage of the explosion upon reload. As expected, Moze can demolish everything with this one due to her Bottomless Mags tree, allowing her to keep firing sticky bombs to her heart’s content. That being said, FL4K’s Megavore skill can have some of those explosions do critical damage.

4 Blood Starved Beast - DAHL SMG

Blood Starved Beast SMG From Borderlands 3

The Blood Starved Beast (yes, that’s a Bloodborne reference) is a DAHL SMG that can come in any element. With its great fire rate, you’ll want to find a full-auto one as well.

The special perk for this SMG is that as you’re shooting, you’ll have a chance for some of those shots to do splash damage. A splash Moze can potentially double those splash bullets and an Elemental build for Amara can melt mobs of enemies. It’s a very unique weapon and as with all DAHL weapons, it’s just fun to handle.

3 Muse - Siren Class Mod

Muse Class Mod Borderlands 3

Ever since launch, players have been wanting a proper melee build for Amara. Well, the new Muse Siren Class Mod might be what they’re looking for. With the Muse class mod, whenever Amara melees an enemy, she’ll project melee damage outwards and will be based on her action skill element.

One great roll you can get with the Muse is up to three extra skill points in Illuminated Fists, giving you upwards of 300% melee damage. If you pair this with a Facepuncher, you’re going to destroy everything in sight.

2 Flare - Gunner Class Mod

Flare Class Mod from Borderlands 3

As if Iron Bear didn’t do enough damage, this new Flare Class Mod for Moze gives him almost double damage. The Flare lets Iron Bear do an extra 100% damage but that bonus does go down as you use fuel.

Still, even with the dwindling damage percentage, you can still have Iron Bear do millions of damage in just a short amount of time. It’s best to equip Iron Bear with low fire-rate weapons so you use less fuel.

1 Peregrine - Beastmaster Class Mod

Peregrine Class Mod From Borderlands 3

FL4K’s Rakk Attack has seen some notable changes since launch and is now just as viable an option as Fade Away. The new FL4K Peregrine Class Mod now gives FL4K’s Rakks some more bonus damage.

That bonus damage comes in the form of grenades. Whenever FL4K’s Rakk Attack hits an enemy, they drop your equipped grenade. Now, this does have a cooldown but it’s short. Your best bet would be to equip a grenade that shoots bullets and having Megavore, allowing you to get your Action Skill constantly.
