Borderlands 3 fans can finally dig into all that the new DLC, called Bounty of Blood, has to offer, but one of the standout changes is the new level cap. With an additional three more levels for players to aim for, the maximum level cap has now been raised to 60.

For those that haven't kept up with the game, Borderlands 3 has set an amazing precedent for post launch support, as its users have had something new to do, be it a  almost every month since its launch back in September of last year. The game has been out for less than a year and it is already receiving its third major campaign expansion.

Understandably, fans are pretty thrilled about this. The latest new adventure to come to Borderlands takes on an Old West kind of theme, with the player taking on a bounty from a Sheriff to defeat a new type of enemy, the Devil Riders.

Aside from the level cap increase, fans can expect to see new weapons, missions, areas, and a whole lot more. The previous two story DLCs for Borderlands 3 were pretty large, so it is no surprise that this one is as well. The launch trailer above highlights some of the key features that will be included, but the monstrous new enemies seem to stand out the most. At the end of the trailer some kind of fire breathing T-Rex type enemy is even shown, so it seems like players will have their hands full.

Some players are reporting having difficulty downloading and installing the DLC even though they own it, and the key here is patience. The update should have become available for everyone by 12:00 PT, but it can take time for some people. Those that are still having issues may need to go to the store and download the DLC (if they already have the season pass they shouldn't have to pay again) in order to get it to work. On the other hand, those that haven't purchased the season pass yet still have the option of buying it individually as well.

There is most certainly plenty more to come to Borderlands 3, so fans won't want to miss out on this latest DLC. The game has covered a wide variety of genres already, so it seems only logical that an Old West theme would crop up at some point.

Borderlands 3 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
