As part of yesterday's Borderlands 3 gameplay reveal event, Gearbox Software gave select players access to a demo version of the game. Not only did these fans have the opportunity to play the Borderlands 3 demo, some were even allowed to stream their experience. From these streams, a great deal of information can be extracted, including specific details on quite a number of Borderlands 3 legendary weapons.

In a video compiled by YouTuber retroinactive, fans can get a look at 40 Borderlands 3 legendary guns that were found across the many gameplay streams that occurred yesterday. Retroinactive indicates that these legendary weapons were pulled from more than 20 Borderlands 3 gameplay reveal event streams, and they include both returning and new weaponry.

The beginning of the video is specifically dedicated to the returning legendary weapons in Borderlands 3, and there are certain to be some fan favorites showcased here. As examples, the Infinity pistol, a Borderlands 3 legendary weapon with infinite ammo, and the Bearcat, which fires six bouncing grenades, are both featured.

Notably, not all of the legendary weapons returning in Borderlands 3 have the exact same functionality as they do in previous entries in the series. For instance, the Baby Maker no longer simply explodes upon reload, as it did in Borderlands 2, now launching four MIRV projectiles instead.

From there, the video outlines a variety of Borderlands 3 new guns. This begins around the two-minute, thirty-second mark, and there are certainly a myriad of new legendary weapons in Borderlands 3 for fans to be excited about.

While every player is certain to have their own individual preferences when it comes to the Borderlands 3 new legendary weapons, there are several that seem notable. The Smart-Gun XXL, which turns into brains that can walk and fire when thrown, is one such intriguing new legendary gun in Borderlands 3, and the Kill-o'-the-Wisp, a legendary Maliwan shotgun that shoots an energy ball, is another.

To note, it is very unlikely that the video featured here is a comprehensive list of all of the legendary weapons in the game. After all, it is said that Borderlands 3 will feature more than one billion guns. However, it certainly provides an exciting look at what fans can expect when the Borderlands 3 release date finally arrives.

Borderlands 3 will release on September 13, 2019 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
