Borderlands 3 contains some of the most difficult boss fights that the series has ever seen, and indeed these challenging battles may be leaving a number of players slightly frustrated. Level Up
While potentially obvious, players that are finding it difficult to kill Katagawa Ball in Borderlands 3 should look to their level. It is recommended that a BL3 Vault Hunter be no lower than level 15 before taking on Katagawa Ball, and players that are struggling may wish to be several levels higher than that.
Use Shock and Corrosive Weapons
One of the problems that players may encounter when attempting to beat Katagawa Ball in BL3 is ammo consumption, as this boss's total health pool makes it quite a bullet sponge. To combat this, it is recommend that players use a shock weapon to quickly eliminate Katagawa Ball's shield, and they should then switch over to a corrosive weapon to work on its health.
Never Stop Moving
One way to counteract Katagwa Ball's brutal offense is to continually be on the move — it is advisable that players never stop running during this Borderlands 3 boss battle. This approach makes the aforementioned corrosive weapons even more valuable, as their DoT effect can help keep the pressure up while the player is constantly moving.
Cheese It
Players that are still having trouble defeating Katagawa Ball in Borderlands 3 may wish to simply cheese the fight. This can be done by going left when entering Katagawa Ball's room, climbing some stairs, and hiding in the corner behind the turbine found there. From this location, Katagawa Ball's AoE attack is the only real threat, and players can simply pop out and deal some damage every time that there is a break in the boss's assault.
While the fight with Katagawa Ball may make learning how to beat Mouthpiece in Borderlands 3 look extremely easy by comparison, it is certainly possible to overcome the encounter.
