Borderlands fans are a passionate bunch, which is something that has resulted in a vibrant cosplay community for the looter shooter series. One Borderlands player has chosen to cosplay as Tiny Tina, one of the franchise’s most popular characters, and their portrayal is incredible.

Tiny Tina has donned a few different looks in the Borderlands series thus far, and her wizard outfit from Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands’ reveal trailer adds another costume to the mix. However, Twitter user @JessilynCupcake chooses to dress up as the older version of Tiny Tina as opposed to the younger one. As such, the outfit from Borderlands 3 is worn, with everything from Tina’s mask to her bunny ears being captured in the colorful and creative cosplay.

Borderlands players should find plenty to appreciate in the cosplayer’s work, as it is exceptional from head to toe. A smart touch sees Tina’s wild blonde hair worked into the headwear, allowing for the cel shaded style to be maintained across every aspect of the costume. Like with other Borderlands cosplays, @JessilynCupcake maintains the cel shaded illusion by drawing some lines on her face and neck. With the art style being vital to Borderlands’ personality, maintaining it in a cosplay is important. Fortunately, decisions like this help keep the franchise’s trademark look intact.

While a cel shaded art style is only one part of the puzzle, the Tiny Tina fan also nails the actual details on the outfit. The spiky right shoulder pad can be seen, while Tina’s left shoulder pad clearly displays a hand-drawn heart. The B Team logo is clearly visible on her chest piece, while the fan’s shin guards look particularly impressive. The wrist guards are cool, too, especially the one that is lined with miniature rockets. Even the pants have some hand-drawn details that help @JessilynCupcake look as if she stepped right out of the game.

As mentioned earlier, the props worn by the Tina cosplayer fit well with the rest of the outfit. The plush bunny is adorable, as is the mask on the side of Tina’s face. With it looking thick and having a few layers, it matches the quality of the design, and it is easy to imagine the cosplayer wearing it like Tina does in-game. Given Tina’s love for explosives, it makes sense that the cosplayer would include one in the image. As such, a bomb can be seen at the bottom of the image. Several other photos have been shared, too, indicating that this Tina cosplayer has had a great time dressing up as the character.

With Tiny Tina set to appear in the upcoming Borderlands movie, hopefully the costume will have the same level of quality as this one does. Based on the likes and comments these cosplay posts have received thus far, it’s clear that a lot of Borderlands fans appreciate @JessilynCupcake’s hard work.
