If there's one central part of Borderlands 3 that the community will rally behind, it's fighting bosses to earn awesome loot. This time around, Borderlands 3 has put an even heavier emphasis on boss fights than previous games did, with players encountering big bads at regular intervals throughout the story missions. It's also possible to farm these enemies for great weapons, and the process has become a bit more streamlined since the last game.

Gearbox has placed save points just before pretty much every boss fight in Borderlands 3, which has made it much easier to repeatedly farm those enemies. To do so, players will first need to beat the boss and finish any associated mission. After doing that, players can then fast travel back to the enemy zone, make it to the save point, and battle the boss again - earning a fountain of loot most of the time. After players collect their reward, they need only quit the game, load back in, and fight the boss again. This process can be repeated as much as desired and will yield some of Borderlands 3's best weapons.

However, until players beat the game and unlock Borderlands 3's Mayhem Mode, the bosses will remain at their first levels and drop loot at that level. That means level 30 players going back to fight Shiv, the game's first boss, will only earn level 2 loot.

Those looking to solo bosses in Borderlands 3 should consider looking into the best builds for Flak the Beastmaster, as the pet-owning robot is one of the best characters for solo play. Of course, there are plenty of other character options out there for those don't want to roll with the robot.

The game does still have some issues, as Borderlands 3's split-screen is an atrocious mess according to many fans, but the save points near bosses are actually a really good quality of life improvement. It's just one of the ways that Gearbox has iterated on the formula that fans love, technical issues aside. This is also one of the best times to play the game, as the community is in the process of discovering all the secrets Borderlands 3 has to offer.

For those that don't want to mess around with bosses, there are still some Borderlands 3 legendary loot farms that players can use instead, though it's not as engaging. Either way, players should have plenty of options when it comes to earning legendary weapons, and the save points have certainly helped speed up the process.
