How to Beat Captain Traunt in Borderlands 3
In order to defeat Captain Traunt in Borderlands 3 comfortably, players need serious firepower to bring his shields down. Captain Traunt is a combination of all three Heavy Soldiers that players have encountered in the game so far. He is exceptionally tanky with a lot of health and even higher amount of shields which can get pretty annoying because he can recharge his shields. He uses ice, fire, and some poison attacks to inflict severe damage. It’s better to take cover behind walls or the windows above to avoid his fatal attacks; however, standing too close to the edge of a wall or window can be dangerous as some of his projectiles explode on impact dealing massive damage.
Captain Traunt’s Weak Spot
His weak spot is the large generator on his back, players can shoot it from any side they want, and a shotgun blast to his face can also stun him for a few moments, which can come in handy when he’s about to charge up a powerful attack. The hardest part is to bring his shields down, and players who are not leveled up enough or wielding weak weapons will find it very hard even to deplete his shields, let alone his health, so it's better to level up fast in Borderlands 3 before tackling this boss. The best way to fight him is to stay in cover and shoot his weak spot from a range with a sniper or an assault rifle.

However, players who are well-equipped can brute force him at close range with a shotgun like the Lord of the Rings Easter Egg, but that can be extremely dangerous if players are not prepared.
