With the Bloody Harvest event now live, it has brought a new map, new legendaries, and more to the latest installment of Gearbox Software's highly-popular looter shooter franchise. There is no better way to spend Halloween than by patrolling the Borderlands 3 map for haunted versions of some of the game’s most challenging enemies.

Chief among the possessed adversaries plaguing the Borderlands 3 map is the Haunted Borman Nates. Here’s how to find him.

Starting Bloody Harvest

Approaching the character Maurice will launch the Descent into Heck quest and introduce various haunted enemies throughout the galaxy. Maurice, a Saurian, can be found wandering around the Sanctuary III. Making a mental note of his location for future reference is advisable considering he will also be the guide for any future seasonal events as well.

These haunted enemies that spawn will be smothered in a strange glow and drop Hecktoplasm upon their defeat. Returning enough Hecktoplasm to Maurice will ultimately open a portal to the new area dubbed "The Heck Hole."

Where to Find Haunted Borman Nates

The Haunted Borman can be found in the same place as his normal version would be found. To start, travel to the Meridian Outskirts in Promethea. From there, head down the tunnel beside the broken bridge, then turn left in the direction of the bridge and proceed to the lift at the base of it.

Take the lift up to the surface. Midway across the bridge will be a Borman Nates soaked in Hecktoplasm beside the little shack. Borman isn’t guaranteed to spawn every time, so the location may need to be revisited a once or twice.

Ghostbusting the haunted version of Borman Nates is no easy task. Bringing a friend is strongly advised. Otherwise bringing some serious weaponry may be necessary. After defeating the haunted Borman Nates and the skull-shaped ghost summoned thereafter, the Nate’s Hostile challenge will be complete.

Once enough Hecktoplasm has been collected, players can venture into “The Heck Hole” and where they can acquire more anointed weapons and start farming as many of the Bloody Harvest legendaries as they can before the event ends on December 5.

Borderlands 3 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version also in development.
