At E3 2019, developer Gearbox gave players an in-depth look at Moze the Gunner's gameplay in Borderlands 3, meaning that 3 out of the 4 new Vault Hunters have received some serious attention. And while Gearbox stopped short concerning skills or major details about FL4K the Beastmaster, it did throw FL4K lovers a bone by addressing two of the biggest questions about the character.

First off, the developer confirmed that players will be able to control his mechanical beasts to some degree, stating that their attacks could be directed by the player's choice. This Borderlands 3 question derives from the similar Borderlands 2 class, Gaige the Mechromancer, where her summonable Deathtrap could not be controlled in the slightest (sometimes resulting in downed players not getting their second wind off). In this regard, Gearbox confirmed FL4K's beasts are unlike Gaige's Deathtrap.

Secondly, FL4K hasn't really had any voice acting shown off, and it's worth mentioning that other Borderlands 3 vault hunter voice actors have been revealed. Moze's voice actor is Marissa Lenti, Zane's voice actor is Cian Barry, Amara's voice actor is Zehra Fazal, and now we know that FL4K's voice actor is SungWon Cho who some may know as YouTuber ProZD. Following Gearbox's reveal of his role in the game, he took to Twitter to confirm this information himself since the "skag's out of the bag" now.

While this may do much to have players lean toward main-ing or playing FL4K, there's still a ton of details that haven't been revealed such as the character's skill trees. Those are likely the ultimate deciding factor for many-a-player, so Gearbox will likely reveal these some time before Borderlands 3's September release date.

As pointed out by SungWon Cho, we do know that FL4K's skill trees will revolve around his mechanical pets, with it seeming to be that he has a mechanical wolf, a mechanical spider ant, and a type of mechanical monkey as his pets. This would suggest that each of his skill trees will correspond to one of his pets, but until Borderlands 3 developer Gearbox finally removes the full veil surrounding FL4K, that's simply speculation at this time.

Borderlands 3 is set to release on September 13, 2019, for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
