A new Borderlands 3 DLC means multiple things: new stories, new characters, and (most importantly) new guns! Thankfully, the Guns, Love, And Tentacles expansion does not disappoint in the weapons department. Gearbox has added a ton of unique and powerful legendary weapons that you should farm for right away.

Some of these new legendary weapons are some of the best in the game and stand out among the ones in the base game. They also have a ton of variety to complement all four Vault Hunters and their various builds. Hopefully, Gearbox doesn’t come in and nerf them too hard after players find new ways to demolish Mayhem 4. Here are the ten best legendary weapons in the Guns, Love, and Tentacles DLC.

10 Frozen Devil

The Frozen Devil is a legendary pistol from Maliwan and its dropped by Kukuwajack in Negul Neshai. This weapon only comes in cryo form and usually has a high Cryo Efficiency rating.

What makes this stand out among other cryo weapons is that once an enemy is frozen, you can deal more damage once you switch the firing mode to ice spikes. It’s not the best for mobbing but it can be great for focusing on one badass enemy. A Cryo Zane build can benefit tremendously from the Frozen Devil.

9 Insider

Chances are, you probably already have an Insider in your inventory if you’ve played the DLC as its a very common world drop. The Insider is a Maliwan shotgun that deals great amounts of elemental damage.

There’s nothing particularly unique about the Insider. It’s just a very good elemental shotgun. The bullets come out as these elemental orbs and the spread is contained very well. It’s best to use this one up close or else the orbs will spread apart too far. Amara is a great candidate for this since she’s proficient in elemental status effects.

8 Skullmasher

The Skullmasher finally makes a return from past games! Now, at the time of writing this, its drop location is bugged and it can only be found from loot chests within DLC. Hopefully, this gets fixed in a future patch.

The Skullmasher is basically a much more ammo efficient version of The Lyuda. It deals high damage but slow enough to not eat up your ammo. As in previous Borderlands games, it can be used as a shotgun if you get up close. Since its a Jakobs sniper rifle, it has the perk of ricocheting critical to other enemies. FL4K can make great use of this weapon when you incorporate Fade Away.

7 Stauros' Burn

The Stauro’s Burn can basically let you use FL4K's Fade Away skill for a few seconds, even if you're playing someone else. You can get this weapon from the Wendigo boss fight in The Cankerwood.

As with all COV weapons, shooting for too long will cause overheating. However, overheating the Stauro's Burn may cause you to light on fire. While you're on fire, all shots with the Stauro's Burn are automatic critical hits. As good as that is, you’ll definitely only want to save it for a single enemy or boss as this process depletes your ammo quickly.

6 Love Drill

You will actually get a purple-rarity version of the Love Drill upon beating the DLC but there is a legendary version of this that drops from Eleanor in Hearts Desire. It’s a Jakobs revolver that can deal over 300% critical hit damage.

A similar weapon is the The Unforgiven but the Love Drill is a step-up due to a higher fire rate, as well as returning critical hits to your magazine. Also, there’s a 20% chance for it to deal double damage in the shock element, easily taking out those pesky shields.

5 Unseen Threat

It looks like the Unseen Threat now takes the title of “best sniper rifle” away from The Wedding Invitation. This Jakobs sniper rifle is dropped by Amach, a rare spawn enemy in Cursehaven.

Jakobs weapons are known for having critical hits ricochet towards other enemies. The Unseen Threat takes this one step further. Instead of the ricochet bullets just going in random directions, a critical hit will create three homing bullets that will go towards other enemies. If there are no nearby enemies, the three bullets will hit that same enemy you just hit. If you want to start a sniper build, you’ll want the Unseen Threat.

4 Oldridian

The Oldridian is an SMG manufactured by Hyperion. There’s no set drop location but like the Insider, it’s a very common drop from enemies in the DLC. You’ll most likely pick up many of them during the DLC.

The Oldridian’s special ability is that it changes elements each time you reload. This may sound like a gimmicky weapon but its anything but. The changing elements rarely seem to be a burden as the gun already has good base damage coupled with its fast fire rate. It actually gets to a point where you don’t even know what element it’s on and you don’t care. This SMG melts most enemies.

3 Soulrender

The Soulrender is a DAHL assault rifle that’s dropped by either Tom or Xam in the Hearts Desire map. As with all DAHL weapons, it deals good damage along with great recoil and accuracy. In addition to that, The Soulrender shoots out skulls that home in on the enemy.

The Soulrender can come in any element, which also turns the skulls into that element. The splash damage combined with an element allows the skulls to do tremendous damage along with the regular base damage of the assault rifle. Moze’s demolition builds can make these skulls even deadlier.

2 Nothingness

The Nothingness is a Maliwan shotgun that’s dropped by Gmork in The Cankerwood. The Nothingness is essentially Maliwan’s version of the Flakker, except much better and more efficient.

As good as the Flakker can be, its projectiles are spread too far apart, wasting a lot of the damage. With the Nothingness, the projectiles have a thinner spread, containing most of the damage in a small bubble. Since its a Maliwan weapon, the elemental damage can deal high damage along with long-lasting status effects.

1 Anarchy

Since the DLC brought Gaige back, it’s only appropriate that Gearbox makes a gun based on her class. The Anarchy shotgun is a Tediore shotgun that’s a common drop in the DLC. It basically takes Gaige’s Anarchy skill and puts it into this shotgun. It’s funny that it’s a common drop as the Anarchy is quite possibly the most OP gun in Borderlands 3 now.

Every time you automatically reload or kill an enemy, the Anarchy’s damage goes up by 30%, which stacks up to 10 times (even further depending on anointments). It’s actually supposed to decrease your accuracy as well but it’s not too noticeable. The Anarchy is a game-changer for all characters. This gun has the ability to melt Mayhem 4 bosses in just a few seconds. If you want to put the Maliwan Takedown on easy mode, use an Anarchy.
