The Borderlands 3 release date is a bit more than a month away, and some fans are certain to now be deciding what edition of Gearbox Software's forthcoming looter shooter they wish to buy. For those that are considering springing for the Borderlands 3 Deluxe Edition or Borderlands 3 Super Deluxe Edition, there are plenty of bonus cosmetic items and weapons to entice them to do so, and Gearbox has now offered a peek at exactly what these bonuses will look like.

First up is the Borderlands 3 Retro Cosmetic Pack, which includes Vault Hunter skins and heads, weapon skins, and an ECHO device skin, all of which feature a "bold mix of red, black, and tan." According to Gerabox, players that go all out with these retro skins may just "start to reminisce about bygone days of dusty cartridges and flimsy floppy disks."

For players that are looking for something a bit more luminescent, the second Borderlands 3 Deluxe Edition bonus, the Neon Cosmetic Pack, may be just what the doctor ordered. These cosmetics will allow fans to turn their Borderlands 3 Vault Hunters into glowing skeletons, and while there are no neon weapon skins included, there is an ECHO device skin and weapon trinket available to those that want to take the aesthetic even further.

Next on the list of Borderlands 3 Deluxe Edition content is the Gearbox Cosmetic Pack, which gives weapons "a metallic grey gleam with tasteful green and gold trim." In addition to these Borderlands 3 Deluxe Edition skins, a weapon trinket, featuring the Gearbox logo, is included in the pack.

Finally, for those that want their weapons to have a bit of Borderlands' patented playfulness, the Toy Box Weapon Pack offers exactly that. This BL3 Deluxe Edition content contains weapons that "look like they're made of plastic," but do not be fooled, as they are deadly just the same. This pack also includes its own special weapon trinket.

Players that have been wondering if the Borderlands 3 Deluxe Edition is worth it can now make that decision for themselves, thanks to these new details from Gearbox. While the Borderlands 3 Deluxe Edition price is definitely higher than that of the Standard Edition, some are certain to feel that these special skins warrant the additional cost. Now players will just need to decide if they want to go for the Borderlands 3 pre-order bonuses as well.
