Since its reveal back on May 21, Borderlands 3 players have been dying to know more about the upcoming DLC 3, Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption. Now, it seems Gearbox is ready to start pulling back the curtain with the release of a 15-minute long gameplay video.

Borderlands 3 is one of the most popular looter-shooters out there — that is, its a first-person shooter whose gameplay loop revolves around hunting for and equipping progressively better loot. Released in September of 2019, the game went on to be publisher 2K Games' most successful launch in the company's history, with sales passing $1 billion within the first five days.

Now the game's developer, Gearbox Software, has its focus on downloadable content. Bounty of Blood will be the third major add-on coming to the game and features a brand new setting: Gehenna, the desert planet. Seemingly wild-west themed, players will have a new cast of characters, and possibly some familiar faces like Salvador, to engage with on their journey to claim a bounty on a gang of bandits known as The Devil Riders.

Players are rightfully excited for this new content, and Gearbox has decided to indulge that excitement through 15 minutes of gameplay footage. No need to fear, all of the spoilers have been removed to preserve the experience.

The video has an extended section at the beginning focusing on one of the new additions to the game: the JetBeast hoverbike. The JetBeast is a customizable vehicle that players will have access to, allowing for quicker travel through the game. The add-on will also feature some new interactive objects as well. The Traitorweed will allow players to temporarily turn foes into allies and fight alongside them. And players can rest easy knowing that there will be plenty of new and powerful Borderlands weapons to find as well.

While it's nice to finally get to see fresh gameplay for Bounty of Blood, there are still a lot of unanswered questions, like how much will the player's actions play into the story of the DLC. And while it seems unlikely there's the possibility it could play into the upcoming Borderlands movie. Players will just have to wait until its full release on June 25.

Borderlands 3 is available now on Google Stadia, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
