Borderlands 3 has just launched the Bloody Harvest event and with it comes plenty of a new map, new legendaries, and some brand spanking new loot. Chief among this loot is a new overpowered grenade called the Ghast Call. The Ghast Call is the kind of grenade that proves that Borderlands 3 does not want players to sit idly by on their themed events.

First things first, players will have to go find Maurice to start the Bloody Harvest mission. Maurice will be the new go-to NPC for seasonal events, and he can be found lingering around Sanctuary III.

After starting the event, players will see that enemies will either have a green cloud, a red cloud, or a yellow cloud hanging around them. The key is to find enemies with the yellow cloud and start farming them. The more gamers farm, the more likely a loot ghost (or one of the floating skull heads) will spawn and drop the Ghast Call grenade. This is just one of the many items players can harvest from the new Bloody Harvest event.

Another way to find the grenade is to seek out Captain Haunt who is the most likely to drop the grenade. The tricky part is that Captain Haunt will only be killable once per Bloody Harvest mission. However, recently Gearbox Software released a patch buffing the loot drops on Captain Haunt allowing players to harvest more gear, so it may be worth it in the end.

Once the Ghast Call grenade is obtained, take a moment to stand in awe of the insane power of this 'nade. It has about six times more damage than the Hex grenade, a wide radius, and becomes even more epic depending on mods. The Ghast Call will either bounce on the ground or explode on impact with an enemy and as soon as it releases it spawns additional heads doing similar damage. The spawned heads then track nearby enemies and seek them out for massive damage.

The BL3 Bloody Harvest event is not one to be missed, as several items and enemies will only be around for this specific event. Quests like the Borman Nates side mission make this event well worth the grinding. Plus, players don't wanna miss out on items and legendaries like this, with The Bloody Harvest event going on until December 5th, 2019.

Borderlands 3 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Stadia version also in development.
