As part of the new Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary DLC revealed at E3 2019, Borderlands 2 introduces a new raid boss for players to take down. Yet even max level players with good gear are reportedly having trouble with this new creature, Haderax the Invincible, as it has some interesting mechanics that make it incredibly deadly, so here's what everyone needs to know to easily beat the new raid.

What makes this new Borderlands 2 raid boss so difficult to defeat comes down to its speed and healing mechanic. It moves incredibly fast and, in the blink of an eye, it can heal roughly half its HP if not more. In other words, it is impossible to beat Haderax if players go blindly in and keep shooting in an attrition warfare-style approach. Players will need to be calculated and hit Haderax with the best weapons in its hidden weak spot as quickly as possible.

How to Beat Haderax the Invincible

Because of its healing factor, death has to come quickly for Haderax. This is most easily done by hitting its hidden weak spot on the back of its head, but due to its speed, this can be somewhat complicated for the average Borderlands 2 build. However, the classic Bee shield + Conference Call strategy works wonders here (even though it has long since been nerfed) because of the unique straightforward + side-to-side spray of the Conference Call. This spray will allow players to hit that weak spot without necessarily being behind Haderax or somehow on top of it.

Once that weak spot has sustained enough damage, Haderax will stagger and reveal yet another weak spot in its mouth. Hitting that with the full strength of the Conference Call directly will absolutely destroy Borderlands 2's new DLC raid boss and give players the win.

Haderax the Invincible's loot pool hasn't fully been calculated, yet when combined with the high drop rates associated with the full Borderlands 2 Commander Lilith DLC, it doesn't disappoint. This includes a number of the new Borderlands 2 rainbow rarity items as well.

Borderlands 2: Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
