Fox's classic animated comedy show Bob's Burgers is heading into its 12th season. Like so many other animated adult shows such as South Park and The Simpsons, the franchise has finally reached a point in its career where a feature-length movie is in production, and the team behind the film finally has new details for fans.

During the recent San Diego Comic-Con, creator of the show Loren Bouchard, writer Nora Smith, and the main voice cast answered questions about the upcoming season and the Bob's Burgers movie on their panel. Voice actors present included H. Jon Benjamin (Bob Belcher), John Roberts (Linda Belcher), Larry Murphy (Teddy), and Kristen Schaal (Louise Belcher). The cast discussed the difficulties of making the new season at home, revealed some episode titles, and shared small clips from a few episodes.

Bouchard noted that the upcoming season would be tackling new themes and will break barriers within the history of Bob's Burgers, but it will still make "small stories feel big." Some episode titles in the upcoming season include: “Crystal Mess" “The Pumpkining,” “Driving Big Dummy,” “Seventween Again,” “Beach Please,” “Stuck In The Kitchen With You,” “Gene’s Christmas Break,” “Lost in Bedslation,” “Fomo You Didn’t,” and others. The names stick to the classic play on word titles of the past and give a look into the quirkiness of the season. Bouchard also announced that there will be many returning and new guest voice actors for audiences to look forward to.

Three short clips from the next season of Bob's Burgers were shared by the panel, two with episode names and one unknown. One clip showed Linda reminiscing about her childhood after a mysterious flower delivery in an episode called "Manic Pixie Crap Show." The second shows Bob and Teddy towing a large dummy head in a truck cab while having an awkward conversation in the episode "Driving Big Dummy." The final clip with no episode name shows Gene thinking he discovered his first pube, but the hair turns out to be his dad's chest hair.

The season finale topic was also revealed as a Bladder Runner-esqe exploration of Tina's erotic fanfiction. Bouchard shared that the final episode will break a lot of rules in Bob's Burgers, relying on film parody, instrumental music, and visuals. The long-awaited Bob's Burgers movie was also brought up by Bouchard, who unfortunately did not have many more details other than the movie is still in the works and that the film should be going to theaters. He also said the film will be a “musical comedy mystery adventure and kind of a coming of age story" fitting of Bob's Burgers' universe.

With the show having been on the air for a little over a decade, Bob's Burgers has remained a consistently funny and go-to adult animation series. The show has yet to fall into caricature or slide in its storytelling, unlike other animated shows that last this long in their career. Bob's Burgers may still be at its peak (if it has even reached it yet).

Watch the premiere of season 12 of Bob's Burgers on September 26th on FOX.
