20th Century Studios have released a new trailer for The Bob's Burgers Movie that reveals more plot details and plenty of burger-based fun. The upcoming movie, based on the popular animated series, is set to premiere in theaters on Memorial Day Weekend.

The new trailer for The Bob's Burgers Movie opens with a sound that will be familiar to fans of the show: Bob Belcher groaning. What exactly he's upset about at this moment is unclear, but based on the rest of the trailer it could be any number of things. We then see Bob and Linda Belcher sitting across from a financial advisor who tells them they have seven days to make their payment. Linda, always to yin to Bob's Yang, tries to reassure him that things will be okay. However, things only seem to get worse as a sinkhole opens up right in front of their restaurant.

The Belcher kids, Tina, Gene, and troublemaker Louise take it upon themselves to explore the sinkhole. It's not clear what they find, but it appears that later the sinkhole is being excavated by some crime scene investigators, so they must have turned something up. The rest of the trailer for The Bob's Burgers movie focuses on a cavalcade of ridiculous scenes, involving everything from Tina Belcher riding a horse on the beach with her longtime crush Jimmy Jr, as well as a talking robot and possibly aliens?

The Bob's Burgers Movie is based on the hit animated TV show of the same name. The series has run for 12 seasons on Fox and has won numerous awards and nominations, including two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Animated Program. The series follows Bob Belcher and his wacky family who run a small burger joint in a fictional west coast city. The talented voice cast will be reprising their roles for the upcoming film, including H. John Benjamin as Bob, John Roberts as Linda, Dan Mintz as Tina, Eugene Mirman as Gene, and Kristen Schaal as Louise.

Earlier this year, 20th Century Studios released a shorter Bob's Burgers Movie teaser trailer that gave fans a taste of what the film would offer. This new trailer delves a little more into the plot of the upcoming movie, revealing that much of the film will be centered around this mysterious sinkhole. Of course, the Belcher's are also dealing with money troubles, a recurring theme throughout the series.

Unlike some TV families, the Belcher's are constantly shown to be struggling financially, doing whatever they can to keep their mom-and-pop burger joint afloat. This has always been a refreshing element of the series, as many shows revolving around families often shy away from their financial status, or portray it as a non-issue. So, it's not surprising that The Bob's Burgers Movie will focus heavily on this recurring theme.

The Bob's Burgers Movie hits theaters on May 27th, 2022.
